Loved this old building. Big room with window on street.looked like 15 ft ceilings! Free coffee and tea mid afternoon. On a quiet street just a few blocks from the Mezquita. Very warm checkin clerk. Very clean and fun to come home to. They called a taxi for our departure. Very very inexpensive in off season.

We stayed at this hostal for one night. If you are driving, it is very hard to find. We had to park and call the hostal, and they sent someone to give us a map to the hostal! And there is no parking anywhere near the hostal. The hostal is on the edge of the old part of town, but it is still very close to everything you want to see. Reception was very friendly, and the room was very nice, but were not given a control for the air conditioning, so we could not use it. The room was very clean and nice. Breakfast was also good. It was on a very small, minor street, but there was still an unusually large volume of street noise. Over all, it was a very nice place to stay.

We loved our stay. The place is in a really good spot in the old part of the city... 5 minutes walk from the mezquita. The decoration and the ambiance are very good, you get free wifi in the room, the price is good and the place is clean. The room was small, there was no balcony but it was a perfect place to sleep. There was air condition, the bed was REALLY comfortable and the place was quiet. There was a place downstairs were you could put things in the fridge. The only reason why I don't give 5 stars is the lady that 'welcomed' us. She was cold as ice, not smiling at all and it was really unconfortable to talk with her. You didn't felt like going downstairs to ask anything at all. Welcoming staff in that place would definitely make this place a 5 stars. If you read this, you should definitely put a smile on you face lady...

For a city break in one of the most culturally typical of spanish cities, this was ideal. Our first floor room was small but clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very cheap at 4.50 euros each consisting of Cheese, meats, cake, toast fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, orange juice, all served in an open air patio area. The hostal was in a great position close to all the sites, bars and restaurants.

Room Tip: First floor far right because it is on the side and would be less noise from passing pedestrians and mopeds

I had such a lovely stay here for 4 days that it was hard to leave. Great ambiance of old and new, the downstairs patio, and the tranquil quality of this hostal. Clean, quiet, safe location but minutes from the sights, restaurants, cafés, etc. Mezquita was a 5 minute walk - good for making the free 8:30 am entrance before the crowds. The owner and staff provided excellent service, and always around if needed but unobtrusive. 20 minute walk from bus or train station, less than 5 minute walk from bus to either station.
