Enjoyed visiting this pleasant plaza. It’s very colourful because this triangular plaza boasts a beautiful flower market. The stalls offered a wide range of flora to purchase.

Luckily the pollen didn’t set off my hay fever! Otherwise I would have have been sneezing for the rest of the day.

The big, red post office is at the end of the Flower Plaza was a big draw for us; the stencil/mural decorative illustration held our attention. Lots going on there.

So, no flower market activity on Sunday but the cafes were doing a big business. Most activity in Cadiz grinds to a halt on Sunday.

The best fish tapa bar and restaurant in Cadiz, recommended by local people. Not quite a tourist restaurant,it's always crowded anyway and there is a waiting time never less than 10 minutes.
There is a seating area inside but it is very busy and noisy.
So they are the few tables outside on the street.
The smartest choice is to eat at the counter ( the only way to taste different tapas instead of big portions at the table) : the best fried fish and shrimps " camarones" in town ! Then octopus salad, anchovies, fried cod! Fresh fried fish served quickly at very good prices for a real meal !

This is a pleasant square near the centre of the city. Normally a focus for flower selling, which adds a nice, colourful touch.
There are several bars and restaurants around the plaza, so it can be a relaxing place to sit, drink some coffee or cerveza, and watch the world go by. Occasionally, the odd beggar may wander along, hoping for a coin or two, but they move on quickly enough if you shake your head resolutely. In the case of mixed couples, I noticed (here and elsewhere) that beggars usually solicit the female rather than the male … perhaps in the belief a female is more generous or empathetic than a male. Not sure that’s necessarily true …

This is so beautiful. Make sure you go during the day when all the stall seats have their flowers out. It looks and smells amazing.

Very central to the city and a very easy point of reference - 'go to Plaza de Las Flores, and turn right' etc.

As the name suggests, it is a flower market and during the day the colours and smells are quite amazing.

Beware the few beggars knocking around, but as in any town or city if you have your wits about you there won't be any problems.

Lots of bars and restaurants close to the Plaza de Las Flores, but most are quite touristy pizza places. A little further up towards Plaza San Francisco (landmark, not a place to eat or drink outside), to the left, there are many more authentic Spanish bars and restaurants

This square as the name implies is simply the "Plaza de Las Flores". Numerous stalls selling fresh flowers and plants. This square leads you to the fresh produce market.

Great little market place with lots of booths for food, drinks and stuff. Looked like a wonderful place that locals go to enjoy spending time with friends and family. You can get a great sampling of all kinds of different foods and especially Tapas. You can take you food and drinks to the tables that are in the middle of the area. Great fun. Do not miss this one.

Great drop-off location for a walking tour of Cadiz. Many businesses and shops along the front of the park.

Can't book here so turn up, find the man with the booking sheet and then enjoy a drink whilst waiting for a table to come free (never longer than 10 mins. in our experience). Basically all fried food, predominantly fish and absolutely fabulous - and inexpensive. This was the restaurant Rick Stein visited and recommended, and we can understand why. Very busy and full of locals, which says it all
