We (2 adults and 2 kids (6 and 1)) booked a half-board combi package in October 2018. We were a bit unlucky (or actually the complete set of guests were somewhat unlucky) that particularly this week the weather in Estepona (as compared to Malaga and further westwards) was very bad... rainy, rainy and another time rainy. We did have a full week rental car so we managed to just find the sun every day during the day but if you wouldn't have one, your stay would be quite dumped.... So basically the vast amount of time during the days, we were not in the hotel.
Then about the hotel; check-in was smooth with friendly staff and the room was quite large (bigger than expected with a nice balcony) at the first floor. The oldest slept on the sleeping couch, the youngest in a baby cot and all was not too much in the room. All clean and the bathroom was very spacious with dito very spacious bath and separate shower and toilet.
Pool area was ok; 1 large pool, 1 bubble pool and a small baby pool. The water was quite cold (but this was the last week that the hotel was open) with abundant sun beds.
Food and beverages were OK, have had it more abundant and with a higher quality but overall nothing to complain about. Again, staff very friendly.

Then overall surroundings; the beach was quite simple (just dark sand), beach club was closed (makes a bit sense so at the end of the season). When taking a walk outside the hotel you will see that all surrounding buildings are actually appartments or private property without really a nice boulevard or other 'area to come together'. Yes, next to the hotel you will find a nice restaurant/club (but may not be the goal for the average hotel guest) and in around 15 min walk there's another sort of beach restaurant. So overall, there's hardly any amusement if you are looking for that during your holidays (outside the hotel). In the hotel, the Kids club and evening entertainment are totally fine so if you do have a rental car you can go wherever you want with a hotel that comes closer to a 3 star hotel than 4 but one that is situated in a quiet area and that has all the general guest would need for a very decent holiday.More
