Had to stay 2 nights because of flight cancelled twice - can't complain about food all was paid for by airline and plenty of it - except the bacon and eggs were not cooked enough for me!! rather raw! The rooms were lovely but maybe not the cleanest compared to the hotel we had left. Very comfortable beds. Staff very very helpful, but found bar staff cheeky - ordered a cup of coffee and they kept the change - our money was runing out!! Hopefully wont have to go back but was fine for the occasion!!

The hotel looks lovely, inside and outside. It was clean and we can't fault housekeeping. The breakfast was GREAT with so much choice, 11 Euros and you must queue to make your own coffee.
But we wouldn't go back there for a number of reasons.
1) The noise in the rooms, all the room doors have an electric locking system and they SLAM shut, at all times of the night.
2) The hall lighting is sensor activated and your room illuminates at all times of the night, whenever any one passes, lasting for 3 mins at time. A peaceful nights sleep isn't possible.
3) The variety outside the hotel are sparse, a few tapas bars and shops...we like to have options but we felt trapped and stuck.
There is a bus. A no.10 which leaves from outside the hotel and goes to Malaga centre, a very good option (30 min journey for 1.20 Euro). There are no train stations nearby. Unless you have a car to get to and from the airport you are forced to pay 20 Euros for a 10 min taxi drive.
The reception staff were helpful, even to the point of inadvertently advising us not to book our meals in the hotel. They halped us book some wonderful trips to nearby places - Granada, Ronda and Cordoba.
Our trip coincided with the Spanish air traffic controllers strike. Therefore the hotel was buzzing with stranded travellers for a few days. Perhaps this emphasized the noise problem. It also cause huge queues and congestion at breakfast time, but there was always ample food and I have to commend the staff on their patience and professionalism.

My husband and I stayed here on the last night of our trip due to it's convenience to the airport. It was not worth it. A taxi 2.5 miles from the airpot to the hotel and vice versa totaled rougly 17 Euro. It would have been another 20 - 25 Euro to get into the Malaga city center. The lobby looks nice enough. The Concierge desk wasn't rude but they weren't really nice either.
Getting into our room, it looked okay, and then we sat on the bed. It was really hard, barely any give or comfort. Every move you made made the bed squeak and groan loudly waking up my husband if I ever had to get up. There wasn't even a clock in the room so we could set an alarm ourselves to get up for our flight.
The thicker blanket on both the beds in the room had cigarette burns...one of the pillow cases had holes in it as well. We were in a room that adjoins to another room. You could hear the people talking in the other room, no sound was absorbed.
The food at the restaurant in the hotel was over priced and didn't taste that good. Even my husband whole likes just about everything barely ate anything there.
We had tried to find another restaurant around there but none of them open until 8pm and on top of that they didn't seem to speak much English. I'm not holding that against them since we were in Spain and all :) and I should have known more Spanish.

Anyway, overall, it wasn't a very pleasant experience, nothing to do around there unless you want to spend 50 Euro simply traveling from there to anywhere else. We ended up leaving around 5am to go to the airport just to get out of there.

I usually do not write bad reviews, mostly because I check hotels before I book them, and mostly other rewievs are correct.

Well in this case I disagree.

There are some good things about the hotel, its close to the beach, the rooms are nice, and in generel the look of it is good. These are the things that I give the two star rating for.

And then there are the things that need to be adjusted for this to be a truely excellent hotel.

Starting with parking, now it is usual and common that hotels charge you for parking in cities, this is not a city, its a small residential area a couple of km from Malaga, you can park for free right outside the gate. Charging 18 euros a day for parking is not ok.

Check in, well we where the only ones checking in, there was a receptionist, she did start t attend to us, but then took the phone (which I in general can accept if no ane other is there) but after the phone call she started to attend other guest, before she finished our check in. It ended up taking about 20 minuttes. She did say that she was sorry for the delay, but I still do not think its acceptable to attend other guest before finishing the ones you startet.

Well I could have lived with the two things above, but the thing that really made me dislike the hotel was the food. Usually you get great food in Spain, if you are unlucky you get avarage food. This was simply bad. We ordered the evening buffet, which looked really nice on the pictures in the elevator, unfortunatly none of the things in the picture was actually found in the buffet. The meat was overcooked and cold, my girlfrien took one mouthfull of the Paella and had to through the rest away (same thing happend at the next table), there was a number of cheeses and sausages that look like the had been left out for hours, one cheese tastet like rubber the other of nothing. The salad also looked like it had been out for hours. And for this we paid 30 euros plus drinks.

There is actually a restaurant right outside the hotel at the beach which was excellent, and only charged about 2/3 the price of the hotel.

So if you ever want to stay at this hotel, park your car outside the gates, eat outside the gates and be very patient when you check in. I am not comming back.

We had a great stay on our last night of our vacation before flying home. Very close to the hotel but remote enough to enjoy the beach, outdoor pool and dinner on the beach. Good price and nice service! I would return!
