First time to the beautiful Granada! And highly recommend this hotel for the homely hospitality and exceptional view. Will definitely come and stay again. Our room was nicely decorated and the large balcony made a nice extension to the room.

Had the lower floor balcony/terrace room.
Very friendly/helpful staff. Parking outside was ok, no problems finding a space.
Problem was - the noise! Doors slamming, water very loud through pipes coming from above through the room (presumably drains from other rooms). And could hear either the next door bathroom or the room above - basically knew what the guy was doing, and when he was doing it.
That said, once I'd been to a pharmacy in town and bought earplugs I then slept like a log.
The views are great, the walk to the Alhambra is 15 minutes. Yes, if you're walking up from town it is STEEP but fun if you're fit enough to do it.
I would stay here again, but I would remember the earplugs.

My husband and I visited the hotel at the end of September, it was quite far from the city center, like climbing a mountain. Only reachable by taxi, they told us that bus passes every half an hour but we never saw any during our stay. We had no prior reservation for Al Hambra and the hotel staff didn't have any idea how to help us although they are v.close to the attraction. it took us 30 mins of walking from the hotel to Al Hambra, no taxis available next to the hotel. The room is quite with a nice city view. The staff were kind of helpful, no breakfast was included in our reservation.

I cant tell exactly what it was that put us off about this hotel. Looking back now, it seems that the view from the location is the only nice thing that we can remember about it, that gives us a nice memory. Apart from that, everything seemed a bit cold (literally) and strange (expecially one of the receptionists) Small room with cold tiles, small bathroom, no balcony ( although it was mentioned in the description of the room we booked) and not a very convenient location, especially if you usually walk during your vacations and are used to touch "home" at least once during the day. Granada is quite steep and walking down and up the hill several times, especially the last hundred meters, especially at night, seemed like an ordeal most of the time. There is a bus that runs on the hill now and then, but doesnt deliver you straight to the hotel, on the contrary, it leaves you at the foot of the last "assault" (so to say) that you have left before reaching the hotel, which sadly is exactly the steepest part.

For the same price I can now think of a couple of other nice little hotels where to stay in Granada, more conveniently located. No need to actually stay in this hotel, you can enjoy the view as a mere guest of the restaurant, if you so desire, but even in terms of views there are better places in town to get a memorable one. Its not close to the Alhambra per se either, it took us 20 something minutes to get there by foot.

We love the location if this hotel. The views over Granada are amazing. You can see the Alhambra Palace Hotel but not the palace itself from the hotel. You can see some if the structures in the gardens below the real Alhambra Palace but the main palace is the other side of the hill. Bus C4 goes from outside the hotel every 20 mins but is earlier than timetable! Walk down to crossroads and get C3 every 7 mins. It is 1.4 euros per trip or you can buy a card for up to 20 euros I think and you get a couple of free trips. Beware C3 stops at the real Alhambra Palace so make sure you get on the bus going down to the city or you will waste a ticket. Book Alhambra Tickets before you visit as you won't get them on the day unless you queue at 4 am. The Arabeluj hotel is good for location. We only used the room and bar ( both have great views as our room 103 had balcony just below bar). Room is small if you are used to fancy hotels but for 2 of us we had plenty of room and we had 2 single beds. We went into the city for breakfast daily as we wanted variety and to get up late. I could have walked everywhere but my friend has a bad knee so we bussed everywhere apart from taxis late at night and to the Nazarid Palace as buses don't go there.
