This hostel started out well. The receptionist spoke English and gave me a map of the city and explained where things are which was nice. There was no offer to help me carry my heavy bay up the stairs but that didn't bother me. I booked a single room which was absolutely tiny. With a bed and my bag on the floor there was no other room to move. Still, that's ok. There was a sink in the room which was handy. But they have a printed sign in the room that says unless, at the end of your stay, you take your bin liner bag from the room and empty it in the trash can in the street, or you'll be charged 35 euros, didn't impress. Of course I didn't do this and I'm waiting to see if they deduct my credit card 35 euros. The hostel is super noisy with guests coming back at all hours until 3 am. The walls are very thin so every time someone comes back and let's the front gate slam you wake up. And the owners are noisy too. I got up at 6am to try to get a ticket to the Alhambra and tried to leave quietly so as not to wake anyone but the elderly owner started asking me in the hallway very loudly where I was going which I am sure would have woken everyone up at 6am!
