I parked near their restaurant to go hiking thus the least I could do was eat there after. Family tried a bit of everything and all was good. Price was reasonable. Service a bit slow but they were busy so kind of expected.

We stopped by here with 2 children after doing the Cahorros walk and were glad to have done so.

We got a table right by the fireplace and the whole place has a rustic, yet cosy feel to it.

The servings were ample and the food fantastic. It's proper Spanish cuisine, nothing fancy and quite heavy.
There were salads and vegetarian options though if you prefer something lighter.

The tomato salad was excellent, the morcilla well cooked but a tad bland and the ox tail dish was a standout.

The waiter was very friendly, spoke a bit of English and the menu is translated anyway.

Definitely recommended.

We were to walk nearby Monachil and se wanted to have lunch in another place but it was closed, so we asked for another restaurant and we arrived here.

The place was very calm and peaceful. The food is typical from the zone. We know the food is really good, typical from Andalusia. They have vegetarian dishes as well but don't have a lot of choices.

The meat is really good. My friends are specialist in this meal and they said it was really good. The stuffed mushrooms are delicious as well.

I have to tell that the staff was very friendly, even if they were a bit slow... But it seems they didn't have personal enough so it was wednesday and they didn't expect so many people. They speak a bit of English as well.

So, if you want typical food from Andalusia and near the nature, near enough from Granada, you have to go there!!

We were slightly concerned when we arrived at el puntarron. The location is slightly difficult to find and the way is mainly uphill. In addition the decor and building is very rustic. However, our meal was incredible. Hearty, delicious and reasonably priced. A great place to eat for a trip to the Los Cahorros.

A lovely place into the mountains, next the beautiful city granada, where you can recover from fatigue after a nice walk, cold bear and good food
