We phoned to book a night in this hostal in Granada and during the phone call we specified we needed a place for our car, the owner told us there was a parking for 2€ per day. At our arrival she told us the parking was a public one and it cost 12€ per day. Unfortunatly we had a reservation for the Alhambra and so we couldn't book anything else. We paid in advance the room 45€. We wanted to pay with the card but she told us that the day before she had had some problems with the pos so it was better to pay cash. At the end the pos didn't work so we had to pay cash. Was it a joke?
Finally we get into the room and discovered that it was small but comfortable, not so clean but it was coloured, the big problem of the room were the sheets: too used and so rough!
The bathroom was really uncomfortable: the shower was broken, the faucet in the sink too, the space between the wc and the wall wasn't enough at all and the towels were washed but still dirty...
I think that, at the same price, there could be something better in the town, maybe with the parking included.

You can't miss La Ninfa, its facade is crusted with ceramics! Except you can because the very good pizzeria/restaurant owned by the same couple, on the opposite side of the square, is similarly decorated. Marlena (one half of the couple) is very helpful. Our room was simple but clean and comfortable. Take earplugs to counter traffic noise and noise from the restaurants in the square. The hostal is only about 10mins walk from the Alhambra.

I've stayed here three times now over the last two years, and it consistently impressed, with the proprietor, Maria, demonstrating a warm and professional attention. She runs a tight ship of very clean but always friendly and helpful service in a very authentic, rustic atmosphere. May be called a hostel but is a hotel, only the door is locked late for your safety. If you DO come home at four in the morning, however, you are not imposing, and they are happy to see you.
I stayed there for my daughter's wedding in May, and arrived very stressed, but Maria was accommodating, comforting, supportive, and even helped us with some of the preparations! I can't thank her enough for going above and beyond the call of hospitality. She really goes the distance.

Room tip: some rooms have couches and multiple beds, others are private -- all have spotless bathrooms and elevator access.

We stayed two nights in May, 2015 during a very warm period in southern Spain. All our emails were dealt with promptly, we were directed to convenient parking nearby when we arrived and given help and advice on how to make the best of our brief visit. Our room was clean and comfortable, very good value, and the building was charming with quirky decoration. We were very grateful for extra assistance from Marlene at the hostal with getting our Alhambra tickets - many thanks! We had a wonderful two days, despite the unexpectedly hot weather. We were able to walk to all of the sights we wanted to see in the time we had. When we left, Marlene also helped with directions for the drive along the coast to Malaga, suggesting a stop at Nerja which we enjoyed very much. We would definitely stay again!

I stayed last weekend in Hostal La Ninfa. The rooms are comfortable, super clean and the whole building has a great original style (more authentic that any other one in Granada capital!). It is a place cozy, in a nice well known location ("Barrio de Realejos") 5 minutes walking from the crowded city center, shops and restaurants around the corner; ideal location to reach La Alhambra and El Albaicin. The owner is a friendly and helpful lady. It is the perfect combination of very nice characteristic style, no noisy rooms (opposite to most of the hostels) so ideal place to rest and great location to visit the city around, and all this at a very good price.
Will definitely recommend & will definitely come back in my last stay.
