It was a very hot afternoon when we came here. No reservation, no problem.
We sat outside and the water mist spray cooled us under an umbrella.

Service was very quick, beer in hand We perused the menu.

We selected a few different plates to try. They were all fab. Even our picky eater( 12yr old boy) found something he liked.

They had some house speciality savory and sweet that were well worth a try.

I thoroughly recommend it. Get in a taxi and eat yourself happy.

I can be sceptical about recommendations from hotel staff but any fears I had were assuaged by the approving nod of our taxi driver, when we requested to be taken there, we had gone up in his estimations.

The menu was full of local dishes, tapas and full plates.

We had a selection of different plates to share and everything was delicious.

The beer and wine were excellent and the House specialities desserts delicious.

It’s a bit off the main track but totally worth the effort to find.

Enjoy

I ate very delicious food! Crochetas are very very good like starting! I am Italian girl so I'm very picky with food! Even if very particular, I suggest the crochetas de roba de toro.
I ate also bacalao and it was sublime!!
My mom tasted octopus and it was very fresh and cooked perfectly!
The waitress was very funny and smiley! She brought to our some tapas for free.
I really love this restaurant! When I will come back, I will return, for sure!

Before our trip I noticed that next to our hotel will be 'so good' restaurant - and even the hotel reception recommended it, so we made a reservation for dinner on rainy day. Well, we were placed to sit on terrace upstairs next to windows, where was blowing in the moist and wind - no other places available!? Have we really booked the LAST table for two, many hours before? We ordered Entrecot de ternera - should be nice in cold evening. What we got? Almost cold, sinewy meat with totally cold potatoes! I was so tired after long day walks around the city, that I had no energy to start to seach somebody to complain - we were forgotten alone on that terrace! Well, finally after we have eaten some, there was another waitress waved to us (the original we no more saw) to regret, we were almost freezing out there. She finally find a way to start to warm up the terrace. The final try - Coulant de chocolate con helado - it was lovely and WARM! So, if you need to visit, please visit a warm sunny day!

Dear Sinna,
We honestly do not understand your 'complete disappointment' in our restaurant.
Point by point, our waiters, in order to provide the best service, offered a table by the window so you could enjoy the views of Rio Genil and the famous Roman Bridge. On the other hand, we can not control the weather and avoid rain and cold, but we have the heating on so that our customers could be comfortable. Regarding the meat, we always ask customers their preferred steak doneness before serving it, but, if we served it and is still not to his liking, we could change it.
We can not change the disappointment of your first visit, but we can improve your experience in the next one, if you give us the opportunity. Thank you. Greetings from all of us.

The table we were given was upstairs and a pain to get the baby pram up, but once there, it was very quaint and extremely local in design, and look.

The staff were very helpful and polite and advised on which dishes and how many to order of the tapas without being over bearing.

The meals were all amazing and showed the local produce off in a great way. Not the cheapest of places but worth it if to try a "local place".
