This was our first international trip out as friends and the whole experience was brilliant. Communicating with the owner of the house was simple and stress free despite neither myself or my friends knowing any Spanish. Jorge the owner is a really friendly and understanding chap and thanks to him our trip was everything we could hope for.
The house is just gorgeous, from the moment of entering through the gates of the villa we were shocked at what we had booked ourselves in to for a bargain price, it was like finding a gold mine! Beautiful trees and large outdoor seating with a spectacular view of the mountain range. We were even fortunate to find Oranges and Lemons ready to pick from the trees!
The house interior is well maintained with no bad smell or any nasty insect infestation. Very clean bathroom that has a circle bathtub with a shower unit. W/C and bathroom are in one which wasnt a problem. Two bedrooms with comfy beds and again well maintained. The sofa in the living room converts in to a bed and there is an extra mattress that pulls out from under the sofa. There was 8 of us and two slept in the living room and three each in the other two rooms, sharing beds.
House can get a bit chilly (visited in March) but heaters are available if need to take the temps up. There was also a chessboard to keep a few friends busy late at night. Kitchen and its utensils were clean and useful.
The location was perfect. Not in a busy area, quiet and clean. Local shops just a few meters straight down the pathway out the gates. 10/15 mins walk from Alhambra ticket office. House is quite high up the hill so good views from all around. We were particularly concerned with the availability of Halal food and were pleased to find several local halal eateries. The Bazaars are also a quick trot 10/15 mins down the road towards town centre. We were grateful to also find a local Mosque (Masjid At Taqwa) in the Bazaar area.
Best thing about this whole location was the people. Lovely kind helpful people, both native and foreign.
Car parking on site is available but should be noted if planning on arriving with a 9 seater van like we did then parking on site is not possible as it wont fit through the gates. 7 seater or below will manage easily though. We had to park in a local car park 1 min away for a small fee.
