We enjoyed our visit here. The queues were massive all day but if you pay for tickets online you can walk straight to the front. I’d say it’s worth it for a few extra Euros but maybe some people enjoy spending their holiday standing in a line for 2 hours.
The alcazar was amazing. The description on the audioguide was somewhat lacking in terms of history but useful for design references. The gardens are stunning - take some food and you could spend hours wandering there. One more thing - early evening is a good time to visit, it’s less busy.
