My partner and I stayed at this unique hotel for two nights. We arrived shortly after 2pm and immediately checked in with the receptionist. She showed us our room (all rooms are names not numbers and the entire hotel has a very authentic andalucian moorish theme) The hotel is quite small maybe (15 rooms) which allows very attentive service. Breakfast was included in the price and was very nice (lots of local cured meats which I personally love) The room was very intriguing with a large four poster bed, two balconies, and a shower that is the focal point of the room, being in the main bedroom (perfect for couples) I'm pretty sure they will only give you this room if you're a couple. On the upper floor is a roof terrace with a jacuzzi. They don't keep the jacuzzi running all day so you just let the receptionist know when you would like to use it and they will prepare it for you. We reserved it twice, once in the morning and again in the evening. As the hotel is quite small with not many guests we had the entire roof terrace to ourselves every time we were up there. Regarding location, the hotel is a little walk from the city centre. It wasn't a problem for us as we are both in our early/mid twenties so we didn't;t mind the walk. Its also a really nice walk into the centre, walking through all the narrow streets, you can really experience Seville's terrace culture. The receptionist did say there's a city bus that runs regularly from outside the hotel for only a few euros if you don't fancy/unable to walk. Overall a wonderful few days in a beautiful city staying at a fantastic boutique hotel.

Room Tip: Beatrice of Swabia room has a very interesting layout regarding the shower (perfect for couples!)

We stayed in the hotel for our honeymoon in the great city of Seville. First of all I would like to state that most of the staff are wonderfull and nothing to be blamed.

The reason of this negative review is the combination of the state of the hotel and the way things were handled when we mentioned this. We checked in to our honeymoon room where after 5 min water came running through the floor from the sewer. A horrific smell and water abundance so we were put in another room. We did get our room back after maintenance so we were happy...things happen. We did had to ask for our bottle of cava which was promised in our room on arrival. My wife asked for some tea instead since we where expecting.

Running a 4,5 star hotel (TripAdvisor rating) is to our opinion when you got the details right.

Our jacuzzi in our room was malfunctioning.
We could not fill it enough with hot water...because there wasn't enough to fill it.
Bathrobes come with holes in them
The jacuzzi on the roof terrace was probably bought during times that Miami Vice was still runing new shows on tv.
There are rusty nails coming through the terrace floor

All these things would have easily been forgotten if the lady at reception had not been so unprofessional about our remarks. We simply had asked for 10% discount on the total amount. She finally agreed, we paid but noticed she did not give the discount. My wife remarked this and from then on it took us 20 min to convince such a simple sum. Meanwhile she became quite nasty and started shouting at my wife.
Finally we got some money back and could get into our taxi who was still waiting.

The staff from our wedding never got our thank you cards which we left behind at the reception desk just before she totally flipped.....it makes you wonder.

We hope the owner pays his staff well, because the ones we really liked are the ones responsible for the good ratings of this hotel. Our advice: also put some money in your building & assets...the place deserves this. And give the lady at reception a hospitality trainig including some maths.

It's lame enough that a couple who where on honeymoon have to write a review like this using words like: discount, malfunction, sewer.

Good luck!

I stayed here with my 9 yr old son. We both really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly. The room was very cool, with an awsome bathroom with a massive shower/bath thing that was unusal enough for a 9 yr old to want to shower. We had a comfy double bed. The breakfast was very good with freshly made coffee and fresh orange juice. Lots of cake options for a 9 yr old as well. Rosita's the bar downstairs was excellent. It was a good price and the manazilla sherry was delicious. I really liked the location. Cool part of town with lots of excellent cafes and bars. I would stay there again.

We loved our stay in the beautiful Alcoba Del Rey. The staff were very friendly, the room wonderfully designed (not too formal but interesting and comfortable) and the food was fantastic at Rosita. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We've just returned from a lovely week. The staff in both the hotel and the restaurant were friendly, helpful and reliable, and dinner was excellent in quality and quantity. Decor was wonderful, hotel was close enough to walk to amenities but far enough away from main areas to be peaceful. Bliss!
