“Cake, coffee & quiet time”

El Viajero Sedentario
Ranked #13 of 58 Coffee & Tea in Seville

I am a regular at El Viajero and thought it was about time I wrote a review. The cake here is by far the most delicious I have had in Sevilla. The coffee is fantastic, and they have a wide range of teas too. It is the perfect spot to take a break from the busy Alameda and read a book, or do some work (they have reliable wifi). The staff are really lovely, and make you feel very much at home for a lazy afternoon either inside the cafe, or in the little garden courtyard under the orange trees. They also have a selection of board games, and good wine should you get a little too comfortable and decide to stay after tea time.

What a fabulous idea!! Right on the charming Alameda de Hercules. You can sit under the trees or in the delightful patio complete with a mural, a tree with a circular bench and comfy cushions and a few tables to relax and have your coffee and croissants. Free Wifi provided.
Inside has a wonderful bookish atmosphere to borrow, read or take away a book in Spanish, English, French or Italian. They keep a register. Perfect place for a writer, poet or a foreigner, perhaps doing a Spanish or Flamenco course, to hang out and chat to like minded habitués. It's on facebook.
A day time place. Pity there are no evening cultural activities! Perhaps the owner hasn't thought about that for the winter.
Highly recommended. On, shall we say, the 'creative' side of The Alameda alongside cafés and Fusion restaurants.

A great find. A lovely place to relax after busy times as a tourist. There are books to read, books to borrow, books to buy, in all kinds of languages. Friendly and cheerful service. I loved it

Been there with a friend and my girlfriend. Small place with tables outside. The inside is packed with books of all sorts, comics and board games.
Really nice coffe. Don't expect very fast service, expect friendly and approachable.
My partner described it as a little Oasis, I can't think of a better description.
