“Just great”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 April 2012

I went for dinner one night and the food, service and atmosphere was so good I went back twice. The owner has interesting stories to tell and has Irish ancestry. The restaurant is on the edge of the the old Jewish part of town so some tapas are Jewish called sefardis. Well worth a visit.

“Fantastic restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2012

We are just back from a 4 day city break in Palma. on the second day, we were wandering aimlessly, thinking about having something to eat, when we stumbled across Las Olas. I am so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The owner was great fun and also gave us interesting information about the local area and how it was a Jewish quarter 500 years ago. We enjoyed it so much that we went back on our last day and were just as impressed. We did not go at night, as our hotel was a long way away, but I'm sure that would be equally good. A real gem

“Brilliant quality, value & flexibility at this informal old-town restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2012

We chose Las Olas on the strength of other TA revirews, and were at first disappointed- only because off season in February, it doesn't open Monday or Tuesday evenings but only for lunch, with evening service from Wed into the weekend.

But when we booked on the Wed, it was really worth waiting for; a great menu with a fusion of Thai and Spanish ingredients, and really friendly advice if needed from the modest owner - manager. Generous portions too, so the advice to supplement the taster-menu of 5 or 6 dishes (for one) with a couple of added tapas style dishes was spot on. In our case, we topped up the big taster portions with variants of seafood dumplings and rice which proved more than adequate, delicious and good-value too. Sound house wine at a tenner a bottle!

“Highlight of the Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2012

What a find, we loved it all the food, the wine the ambience. We enjoyed a wonderful meal in a relaxed atmosphere. One vegetarian in our group was so impressed that we went back for lunch the next day. The food is such a mix of all influences, eastern, mediterranean, french, spanish. Don't miss this one its a true gem.
