Unique Island....at the moment.
Some really lovely viewsof the other Canaries on a good day, atmospheric on a misty one.
Hotel is fine, one accepts less in beautiful places where everything has to be brought in at expense.
Rooms are good and clean for sure.
Worth going and worth going here too

We stayed here as part of a walking holiday organised by a holiday company. The hotel is located on the main road running through Mocanal (but this is El Hierro so there is limited traffic and noise was not a problem). The rooms and bathrooms are quite large but the furnishings are a little sparse and the rooms a little dated. This being El Hierro, the rooms do not have central heating but there was a small electric heater, which was adequate even for January. Our room had a balcony with a view over the ocean, which we enjoyed. Breakfast, taken in the hotel lobby area, was OK and continental in nature. Dinner was at a restaurant across the road - perhaps the same proprietors - and was good and the service friendly and engaging. The WIFI works only in the hotel lobby and only patchily, if at all, in the rooms, which can be inconvenient. It is a perfectly adequate place to spend a night or perhaps two. The reception is not always staffed so plan ahead.

Room Tip: Rooms vary - choose one with an ocean view. Some face main road - but noise not an issue.

nice hotel with view on the sea. Even though the hotel is simply decorated, the atmosphere was quite good, and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful, with a wide selection of items. Very convenient location to visit the island.
The restaurant on the other side of the road had one of the best Mojo we had on the island, and the fish was very fresh and nicely prepared.

Room Tip: Try to get rooms on the ground floor or the first floor, which have a great view over the sea

Our first impression was a little unfavourable as there was no one at reception when we arrived and no means to call anyone. When someone finally turned up there was no apology or acknowledgement that we had been waiting for 20 minutes. We watched this happen to someone else on another day so this is clearly an issue. The T.V. in the lobby is on all the time, regardless of whether anyone is there, let alone watching it. The room itself was fine and there was a small space heater, as it got cold. The bathroom stank and we had to keep the window open but there was plenty of hot water. All in all it was okay but not without some flaws.

Stayed here for two nights on a walking holiday. Situated at an altitude of some 600 metres we found it decidedly chilly! Reception very good and wifi in reception area worked well. Rooms a bit dated and not exceptionally clean but ok for a couple of nights. Large terrace but too cold to use the sun loungers provided, no sun either just low cloud. Meals breakfast and dinner taken at small restaurant across the road, no complaints at all, portions large and cooked well. To sum up if you are staying in this part of the island a couple of nights here would be ok but no longer.
