We ate thre times at La Lonja in as many years and every time was a culinary feast!
The place is very atmospheric, the service is great and the food... Well, as said: great!

I have been here many times and this was one of the best visits yet. The cheese pie starter is just INCREDIBLE! It's big and cheesey and filling and wonderful. The chateaubriand was cooked perfectly and really delicious. Service was great despite being really busy when we arrived.

We were in Santa Cruz on a mini break and had a wonderful evening here - apart from some confusion with our order which didn't affect our enjoyment at all. The place was packed, more people outside than in and the chef worked miracles. We could see into the kitchen and were amazed at how he coped. Our pulpo was divine and our mains were fabulous. So much so we booked a table for the next evening and how different that was. Very much quieter. However, despite it being all the same staff the food was awful. The soup was bland and one main course of pork was inedible. Dry, tough and bland. It arrived with weary looking chips and a spoonful of raw grated carrot which looked like it had been thrown on the plate. I wasn't vey hungry and opted for an omelette which was average and served with nothing other than a blob of tomato ketchup. I expected more given how good everything was the night before - there was no excuse for what we were served. The waiter deducted the pork dish from our bill after some discussion with us but when something like that happens it's already spoilt a night out. Not sure if we'd go back on our next visit now.

Stopped off initially for a drink but ended up staying for a few more and a light snack of prawn omelette and chips. All went down very well. Toilets were also nice and clean. Very important.

Visited twice by wife and I. A real restaurant rather than a tapas place. Tables in a courtyard in the centre of the building with views of the sky. Quiet and relaxing. We had lovely rabbit in almond sauce (a local speciality) on our first visit and wonderful fish on our second. The waiter was very helpful and friendly.
