We stayed at the Masaru for a week. Nothing to complain about, everything worked fine. We had a room (a studio) on the second floor, the view was to the mountains.
The breakfast was very good, all kind of choices.. We dined outside so I have no comment on the dinner.
The room had a little kitchenette with a little stove and a good size fridge. Didn't have a coffeemaker but had the glasspot and a filter funnel(?) so we could still make our own ( I like coffee and like to have a lot of it :) ).
The beds were good, we had 2 singles that we pushed together, extra pillows in the closet and thay also had a light blanket so you wouldn't get cold. No need for an ac there.. You could hear the people in the next room, but it didn't bother us. We probably made our own noise.. For the nighttime we turned on the cooker hood(?) so the night time noises/quite didn't keep us up.
The housekeeeping and cleaning was excellent. There was always someone cleaning something somewhere.
The wifi worked beautifully! A wonder actually.. It was a bit of a challenge to get it on, the directions were a bit strange, but I wouldn't give up :) Try the username for the network name etc.. It worked everywhere for us. Even in the restaurants near the hotel.
The hotel has a big pool, a nice garden area and space enough for everyone. The hotels location was good, shops and restaurants near and about a 15-20 min walk downtown.

I can also answer in finnish, so send a message if you need info on the hotel..

It's a oxymoron of a hotel the place is clean in fact spotless - even wiping down the real plants leaves honest! The hotel is being renewed - new carpets, suites etc but in the style of 1985 again honestly. The staff is again a mixture the majority where really nice and friendly but a few were so dismissive it was embarrassing. The hotel has a definite bias towards elderly German clients as does the local area but the beer and sausage are great so win win.
Breakfast was ok but don't expect full English- never seen warm carrots and corn for brekky. There's a little cafe on site but it is little although there's an outside seating area - just don't expect to get served quickly. The hotel is situated near a small number of bars and restaurants but otherwise it's fundamentally half way up a very very big hill so mobility can be an issue especially as most things locally shut at midnight in March.
Would I go back probably not but then again I'm not an octogenarian Berliner

We spent just one week Masaru. The magnificent swimming pool and the comfortably warm water (a rarity in Puerto de la Cruz has a heated pool). Magnificent views towards the mountain. Terrible sound insulation. The neighbor's voices came to our room. Keeping the balcony door open during the night, became background sounds and keep the television quietly open, felt better, than the sounds of neighbors.
Friendly staff. The beds were dusty nests. They had no proper bedclothes. Only wool blankets. Since there was no duvet covers, the wool blanket attracted all the dust.
Cooking Equipment, did not make sense. The strangest thing was that the room had no coffee maker though this is an apartment hotel.
In the past, we lived in Casablanca, which is equipped in all respects much better but the enclosed pool area from you can not see and can not hear anything from the environment (distressing). In Casablanca also you can not choose which side of the hotel you want your room. Even if you are willing to pay a little more. In Masaru it is possible. In Casablanca You may, therefore, stare at the whole week just closed the yard from the lowest deck. If between the two is selected at the next time, the choice may be Masaru. In Puerto de la Cruz is really hard to find a hotel and especially Apartments Hotel, from which could well say, that this we will return to again and again. Fortunately, the city is so welcoming that it beats the smaller deficiencies.
The WIFI was working well in the Masaru area.

Room tip: Take your own duvet covers by.

VERY "tired" hotel!! It needs redecoration and a upgrade of the entire hotel!! The beds was hard, espesialy the extra bed! The covers in the beds was "not-inviting" All round the staff was great, but a litle "old-fashion" in the reseption.
