This hotel is the one tio stay in when visiting Toledo. Its outside the walls of the city but much the better for that. Three bus routes and the hop -on hop off bus stop within 30m of the hotel and take 5 mins to get to the centre of the city. You very near the centre but away from the maelstrom in the centre. The restaurant is very good. We had an excellent set meal - three choices of three courses with wine for 21 Euro and they just left the bottles - one white one red on the table. Our room was a junior suite in the round tower. It was excellent -get it if you can. The hotel has very reasonable parking and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful.

Room tip: Ask for the Junior Suite

The hotel itself is good, nice big room, parking for 6Euros but every staff member we met was more sour than the other. It was as if they were forced to be working there, they replied to everything barking and were completely impolite.
If you can, go somewhere else for the same price- comfort ratio, it’s not worth being treated like they are doing you a favor they exist.

We stayed in Hotel Marina Cristina from the 27th -29th April with our 7 month old son, in the Junior Suite. The hotel is well located, a short walk from the rest of the city. The staff were kind, and spoke a good level of English. The room we stayed in was awesome, brick half-dome with romantic lightening and a nice bathroom. and the parking is easily accessible.

Our stay started off great, until about half hour in, when we inquired about how to turn the aircon on.. We did not get told at check in but the air con in the entire hotel was broken. We decided to head out to explore the city instead of staying inside the hot hotel room. We were staying on the top floor, so instead of walking down 50+ steps with a stroller we took the elevator down. The elevator is small, barely fits a stroller and 2 people. The elevator door mechanisms jammed shut leaving us trapped inside the elevator. We tried to use the emergency phone but it failed to function entirely, there was no dial tone. So we pressed the emergency bell, although it made quite a loud noise, nobody came. My husband had to call the hotel reception to notify them that we were stuck (Thank god we had one mobile on us!)
At least 15 minutes later, the receptionist had JUST called the technician to come and get us out. It was getting increasingly hot, about 35degrees so my husband tried one last time and somehow managed to push the elevator door open, but because the receptionist kept trying different floor to open the door, we were on the first floor. This was very traumatic for me, my son was getting agitated not being able to move and being stuck in the elevator. We were offered a free breakfast for the two mornings we were in the hotel. This definitely isn't the compensation we would expect and definitely not sufficient for the situation.

The breakfast, which is priced around 7eur was lacking, we would not have eaten if it was not free. The toilet paper was rough, and felt cheap. The robes looked plush however were also rough and felt like a bath towel.

Overall our experience of this hotel was bad, we would not recommend it to a friend and would not stay here again.

We stayed 5 nights on a full board basis in a group of 50. The food was well prepared, well presented and tasted just as well. It´s not in the center but just a short walk to the electric stairs ( 2 sets) that take you to the center. Lots of tourists but the locals were still very kind and helpful. The monuments and specially the catedral were quite extraordinary and needed a lot of time seeing them well The city is well situated and has good access to other cities nearby such as Madrid but is half the price to stay at.To explore Tolado well you´ll need 2 to 3 days, but they will be well spent

Room tip: Take slippers no carpets

I stayed at this hotel when I was passing through Toledo in June.

The location of this hotel is not great. It is right next to the Bull Ring in Toledo and if you are in this hotel when there is an event on then you will struggle to get close to the hotel and the noise from outside is very high. The other note on the location of the hotel is that it is quite a distance out of the city. The main area of the city is down a very steep hill and you will always have to climb uphill to return to the hotel.

The staff at this hotel were friendly and did everything they could to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

The food at this hotel was tasty although the portions were on the small side. It did leave me wondering where the nearest takeaway was.
