We liked the friendly welcome we received at the hotel and the super convenient location just outside the city walls meaning it was easy to walk everywhere but also close to the escalator up to the city if you wanted to save some leg power. The hotel was nicely decorated throughout in a modern way yet in an old building. There was easy parking outside at very reasonable cost (on-street parking). We had a balcony so we had a partial view of the city walls but it was only of the Juliet type facing the front and the street and therefore a bit noisy since one of the main roads into the city is only one street over.
On a slightly negative note, the hotel was quite difficult to find as it is in a back street area with one-ways and lots of parked cars. Google got us there eventually. The bathroom was tiny, albeit beautifully presented. My husband is over six feet tall and is large so it was a struggle for him although he managed. In our opinion there is insufficient screening in the shower to prevent the water spraying outside the cubicle and there were stray hairs on the bathroom floor. I would rather the breakfast options were more straightforward with fewer pay levels and although what we had at the most basic level was lovely, it was expensive for the quantity of food we got.
