Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell (Carretera del Carmel or Calle de Marianao)

“Awesome view among gardens and color, eclectic architecture”
Reviewed 6 April 2012

This is a must see place in Barcelona even if you are only here for a day. Getting there can be a challenge - best bet is to go either via the hop-on-hop-off tourisitc bus or a cab ride. You can take the subway back as it is easier to walk down the steep hill to the Lesseps metro station than vice versa.
There are awesome views especially if you take the time to follow the path to the very top where there is a small park-bench area to sit and rest/snack/watch. Keep in mind that public restrooms are only at the bottom park entrance - plan accordingly. It can be dusty and there is a LOT of walking so bring good shoes, a camera, sunglasses, and a hat depending upon weather conditions. I imagine it gets quite hot in the warm season.

“Magicial Park”
Reviewed 5 April 2012

I love visiting Parc Guell. It is like a fairyland walking around. It makes me want to be a child again as I would love to experience from a childs first viewing. It is just so magicial. the man was a genius and you just have to wonder where and how did he ever come up with the ideas for it. I always try and visit this Park whenever I come to Barcelona.

Waht a great place. You can see all of Barcelona from the overlook area of the park. A brautiful place for family and friends to enjoy. Best of all, admission is free! Beware of pickpockets.
