Stayed at this amazing property for 4 days last week. Great hotel, impeccable service, personal attention and serious attention to detail, everyone knows your name and the food is brilliant. The employees make an effort to engage with you and that makes all the different. They are not only good at what they do, but they all look like they are enjoying spending their time on you. Rooms are lovely and we had an amazing view of the beach to one side and the Cathedral to another in the distance. Location is pretty good too being close to the beach and you have easy access to all the nice beach restaurants and bars as well. Ramblas and Port Vell is an easy walking distance and so is the train station for access to other part of this beautiful city.

A most wonderful four day stay. We arrived early am from New York. Right away we were upgraded to a suite on 27th floor facing ocean. Our suite was not ready so they Let us rest in a beautiful room. Service was fantastic and staff attentive. Breakfast is to die for. Serrano ham and truffle potatoes were heavenly. If you are not staying here you are missing some thing. And yes it is a Ritz Carlton property.

3 couples recently went for a long weekend in Barcelona to celebrate a birthday. We arranged a transfer from the hotel which although a little expensive was a nice start to our stay and ensured we arrived together and promptly. Upon checking in at the hotel we were asked if we had been to the hotel before, if we were all together, if we had been to Barcelona before etc. and then told they would like to upgrade us to one of their 3 bedroom penthouse apartments. Unbelievably we were a little reserved at first assuming that in most suites at least one of the bedrooms would be significantly smaller than the others and we were concerned about privacy. The receptionist assured us we wouldn't be disappointed and if we didn't like the rooms we could take the original double rooms we had booked. Whilst we waited for the room we were given glasses of water and confectionary. Needless to say the apartment was out of this World and surpassed all of our expectations!! It made our stay truly memorable.

We ate in the Bites, Cafe verandah, Marina and Arola restaurants. Without exception the food and service was fantastic. Arola in particular was a great experience and the waiter gently steered us with the menu choices.

The pool area was well managed with nice touches like free bottles of mineral water and apples. These were also at the entrance to the hotel in the mornings for those taking a morning jog along the waterfront. The staff at the pool were excellent in particular a young boy who brought my Mother a pillow just to make her more comfortable (she is 75), a thoughtful gesture.

The staff helped with restaurant choices and reservations.

They even brought a small birthday cake to the room.

None of us could find fault but obviously this was an exceptional circumstance to be upgraded so even taking the room out of the equation the service and quality in the hotel was impeccable.

We treated ourselves to some treatments in the spa, which were fantastic. The most relaxing pedicure I've ever had. I nearly fell asleep!!

All in all a really wonderful experience. If I had to find fault with anything it would only be that the pool could have been heated. It was far too cold to swim in but it was only late April. Obviously this all comes at a price but one where you didn't feel cheated at the end of it. Perfect for a special celebration or romantic break. I'm sure we will return.

Been at the hotel Arts in Apr.24 (one night only) to spend the night prior to a cruise trip (also fantastic)
The hotel was booked via a travel agency in Sao Paulo/Brazil (Goldtur - 55 11 3082 4499 - Mrs Eliana Ferrari) they only said to me "believe me... you will love it". Well... they were right !
The hotel is 5 star in all aspects. Location (amazing) - View (fantastic) - staff (perfect) - amenities (great) And, also the price is a 5 star. But worthy every cent.
If you have the budget, you can choose this hotel blindfold.

Room Tip: Try to get higher rooms... views are amazing !

We stayed here for 03 nights in the end of our vacations trip in Europe. The hotel building is a show itself, a true postal-card of Barcelona. The whole experience was fantastic, the check-in, the room was great, the location could not be better. Our room was at the VIP level, where we'd access to the Club Lounge, an exclusive living and dining area. The guy at Club Lounge, his name was Marco, gave us a very first level of care, indicating the main attractions of the city, so tireless in serving in the period in which we are it. This employee really deserves a prize. Definitelly we'll stay here again everytime we go to Barcelona.
