“Magical”
Reviewed 15 April 2012

I stepped into a house from a fairytale. There is so much to learn and appreciate. I was there 3 hours and was still trying to cram in more of Gaudi's facinating detail before I left.

“Make this the first stop of the day”
Reviewed 15 April 2012

We visited on a rainy weekday along with a number of school groups. We bought our tickets as the box office opened up, had a breakfast and returned to see the house. The design and the use of materials for the house are fantastic. Strongly suggest getting the audio guide. Seeing the Casa Batllo one day and the Sagrada Familia another, provided a great introduction to Gaudi's design concepts.

“Must see...so light and bright!”
Reviewed 15 April 2012

We went in as many of the Gaudi-designed houses as we could. This was a favorite! You must go in to see it after admiring the outside. It's so very interesting to see all the unusual and wonderful details.

“A real Gaudi' touch ! A Must to visit”
Reviewed 15 April 2012

I avoided to visit the "Pedrera" , probably the most famous building fo Gaudi' , due to a extremely long queue, so I decided to visit Casa Batllo. Basically it was a choice driven by the lenght of the queue, but at the end I was really happy about my choice!!
A guide with your own language is included in the ticket and it is very helpful to fully understand what you see. It is a surprise after another moving between the rooms and finally on the roof. Gaudi designed not only the house but the forniture too which is really impressive. The ticket is not cheap but this house is still privat and do not get any money by the state, so they use the money to keep the building in a excellent shape. Last , but not least, inside you can use the original elevator if you have some issues with your legs as I have.

“Enter at your own dismay”
Reviewed 14 April 2012

Unless you're exceptionally consumed by architecture, it is not worth the price of admission to walk inside this house. The facade of Casa Batllo is invariably what attracts people to come to the site, and it is the only part of it worth remembering, really. If you want to spend time and money at sites concerning Gaudi, go to Parc Guell for free, and then stroll on over to Sagrada Familia and pay for that instead.

I can't even believe that both of these Gaudi sites have the same cost for admission. Sagrada familia is leaps and bounds more impressive than an empty house that a rich Catalan family commissioned Gaudi to create and is still making money off of to do this day (it is privately owned).
