Hotel Gaudi is located just steps off of Las Ramblas and directly faces Palau Guell. We stayed twice, pre and post cruise. Precruise we were on the 4th floor and post cruise on the 5th. Rooms on both levels were good, with great views of the Palau Guell fairy chimneys on the rooftoop, although if I were to choose one level it would be the 5th with a corner room. The corner rooms seemed a bit more roomier. Breakfast was excellent and our last day we had to be to the airport prior to the breakfast room opening and were provided a breakfast to go. I thought that was very thoughtful of the hotel to do! I had read previous posts about the rooms facing the street being noisy, but we did not find that to be a problem at all. However, we were there mid January, which is lower season. We had drinks at the hotel bar one evening and the bartender was very accommodating, we did not try the restaurant though. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Gaudi again. Easy walking distance to the Picasso museum, hop on/off bus stop, and other sites.
