Sadly during Barcelona attacks this hotel was not very cooperative. A good way to access the level of hospitality a hotel provides is at the times of need, and this one didn't do well.

The whole area in la Rambla was restricted for anybody to access near the terror attack. So, Tourists who couldn't get to their hotels and seeking a night to sleep went to nearby hotels. Two of those Tourists were friends who had all their papers/money/credit cards in the La Rambla area and police couldn't allow them in. They called us (friends abroad) and asked us to book a hotel for them at least for the night. Since they had no cash and lost all their belongings.

The nearest option was this hotel, sadly they don't allow payments, by credit cards via phone, email, online etc. They accept credit cards either in person or direct cash. Add to that phone attendant was very rude and high tempered.

We understand a policy anybody imposes and it is respected but during emergencies some rules needed to be flexible and this hotel needs to show the real spirit of the Catalans.

Other hotels, even more prestigious hotels, accepted the idea of credit card information and thus payment either by phone or by email only to help tourists who are lost and couldn't have access to their personal belongings. This behavior tells you much about hospitality and flexibility to help those affected by the tragic incident. But this hotel added more complexity to what is a very critical situation. Given the fact the payment will be done but using other "also" legit methods. Because of their rudness and their regid nature of a policy my friends had to walk 4 hrs searching for a hotel and the more time passed the more hotels got little rooms to spare.

Apreciado Sr. Bakii
Atentamente
Silvia Armengol-Directora Hcc St Moritz.

It's a nice centeral hotel easy to walk every direction, close to atractions. Hotel staff is helpfull, we came face to face with heavy rain (eventhough we are in the middle of summer) they gave us their umbrella and really friendly people.

Stayed here for 4 nights.

First impression was that it looks like a grand hotel.

The rooms didn't match up as they are pretty basic. I'm not sure how Spain classifies 4 Star but certainly not in my opinion 4 Star compared to many UK and other international hotels we have stayed at.

Very basic free bathroom amenities so you have to buy your own and the bedding was stated as being changed every 2 days - expect daily in a 4 Star hotel.

No tea or coffee making facilities which all international hotels we have stayed at always have.

The cleanliness was ok but nothing more.

The bathroom was very small. The room was dark with dark furniture and fittings. The headboards were wooden which made it virtually impossible to sit up and relax in bed. Only 3 plug sockets with none next to the beds.

Good wifi connection and ok location.

Not good value for money.

We had room 405 - spacious and spotlessly clean. The view was to the side of the hotel and overlooking the Terrace Bar. This outside bar area was superb for early evening aperitifs or drinks after big days out in Barcelona. Lobby was good. Breakfast was good and well attended by staff.Location was perfect - on the Gracia with choice of Metro stations - Casa Mira a 3 minute walk away and loads of great tapas bars and restaurants.
We did the city bike tour with Bianca as our guide - great trip. We also made our own way to Tribidabo Hill via Metro and Funicular with fantastic views and a great walk down back to the city.
Hotel is well located, calm and clean and well recommended.

Located in a side street down town just a hop, skip and a jump from everything!. Quite conservative but the concierge team are friendly are helpful. Large double room (facing a wall) but this made it quieter. We've stayed before with a street view and could hear the outdoor dinners on the corner. We stayed B&B the breakfast is plentiful but does not have a vast choice. Cooked eggs etc have to be ordered. The location is key which is why we chose St Moritz again.

Room Tip: Your not there for the views, this comes with the sightseeing , choose south side room for a quiet n...
