I stayed at the Casa Fuster recently for three nights with my family. I have three kids, so being five people we had to book two rooms, which is really annoying, but par for the course in much of Europe, so what are you gonna do?

Anyway the hotel was very nice. Good rooms, spacious, great air conditioning in the summer heat. The breakfast buffet excellent but a bit pricey, the room service was similar - excellent, but pricey. Service was fantastic all around.

The reason to stay here is the location. If you like shopping, this is just a great hotel. It's at the top of the Passeig de Gracia, and there must be a full mile of shops down the hill to the older Barcelona city area. Great shops everywhere. Shopper's Paradise.

Walking distance to Starbuck's, the Apple Store (a really beautiful one), a couple of Gaudi buildings, more places to eat than you can imagine.

The Diagonal metro station is close by if you're traveling around the city. Would definitely stay there again.

Room tip: The view down the Passeig de Gracia is nice. Perhaps noisier, but I liked the view.

On Thursday nights at 9, Casa Fuster offers jazz concerts in its lobby bar/cocktail lounge for 65 euros a person. You receive a glass of champagne, a bottle of wine and various tapas, and there's a more expensive dinner option as well. The setting is elegant and comfortable and the jazz first-rate. I'd recommend arriving early and having a drink beforehand on the hotel's rooftop terrace, which provides a stunning view of Barcelona. Reservations are recommended for the jazz concert as seating is limited.

Casa Fuster Hotel generally lives up to its expectations every year, and is always a preferred hotel of selection based on the professionalism shown by the entirety of the employees, the interior design, the comforts and the location.

The staff are important, and therefor should always be mentioned in any review. This property has such a focus on service, and it is clear that the management of the property ensure nothing but the best from the employees.

Downstairs lobby and bar is the perfect setting for a relaxed morning drinking coffee, a midday bear, or an evening of wines, liquors and finger foods.

Rooms as an opinion are starting to show the effects of time, and are really coming to an end or an era where a refurbishment is needed. Superior rooms offer spacious areas with all the needed comforts of a 5-Star Property. Finally coffee machines have been placed in the rooms, which is a plus, however Nespresso should have been the selected choice, and more of a selection of coffees available to guests, and as an extra, more than two small milk containers (yes a simple call can be made to room service, however the milk containers are condensed milk, which is not always a preference). Bathrooms are well laid out with all the needs a bathroom could offer. Hairdryers need to be replaced, as there is more air flow from one blowing from his/her mouth than what comes out of the hairdryers offered - common in hotels. Beds are comfortable, and the pillows are superb, so the overall comfort level is as expected. Junior suites, senior suites are all excellent, offering plenty of space, great views of Pacia De Gracia and all the comforts of a 5-Star Property.

Rooftop Bar - Excellent, open pretty much all day until around 0200-Hours serving finger foods, cocktails, beers, wines, sangria etc... Great place for a relaxed evening looking over Barcelona, and a great place for a meeting point before heading out into the city. Remember, hotel costs on drinks are always going to be higher, however they are reasonable in comparison.

Pool and Gym, both very small, however Barcelona is a city on the beach, so it is most likely designed as more of a relaxation zone. Gym wise, really poor, and needs a little more input from a professional to ensure the client has the minimum needs of a gym. Running machines are fine, however the weight selections are just very poor. 5-Star properties do not always have full spec gyms, i am aware of that, based on laws for professional trainers etc once a gym reaches a certain size with certain equipment, however a review should be made for improvement.

Restaurant is fantastic with a wide selection of high end food that tastes really good and is very well presented by a very professional group of employees. Is it somewhere i would eat each night, no, however it is worth the reservation for at least one night of the stay, or maybe an afternoon lunch.

Breakfast, one of the best i have had with a huge selection of foods from fresh fruits, to hot food, cold salads, fresh juices, desserts etc...Very good selection.

Overall one of the best properties in Barcelona, and would always be back. Looking forward to the refurbishments, if they finally decided to have one.

I've never had better service from hotel staff anywhere like Casa Fuster. They spent 30 minutes going over places to see, restaurants to eat even made reservations for us for attractions to see. This place is beautiful, with a historic Spanish charm and a great location. The beds are comfortable and food was amazing. I would return there without hesitation.

Excellent Location. a minute walk from all the designer stores and restaurants. Walking distance to couple of Gaudi Buildings. staff are super helpful. I would go back at a heartbeat. Just one thing I wanted to mention is the roof top pool. In the website it say there is a roof top pool however, the pool is very small and make only 5 people can fit in there. I asked the staff and they told me because its a old building it is not possible to build a large pool. The rood top bar is excellent. The view is spectacular and the drinks are very good.

Room tip: I would differently choose a room from higher floor for a better view

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our location and that our staff helped in everything you needed.
On regard of the pool comment, I would like to reiterate what our colleagues said, unfortunately our building does not allow to make a bigger pool.
We hope to be able to welcome you again in the future.
