“Fantastic value for money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2012 via mobile

Stayed here in may with my husband, it's a good 30 minute walk into the centre, but the metro is right outside and gets you there in a few minutes.

Hotel was clean, rooms were lovely and modern with air con and the free wifi was a great extra. We were in a first floor room and there was no more noise than you would expect from a city hotel.

It's only a few minutes walk to the sagrada familia and there's some fantastic restaurants around there.....it's really nice to spend an evening around there....there's a long pedestrian street if you walk up the road where KFC is on the corner with plenty places to eat and drink. Much quieter than reading to las ramblas and much more enjoyable.

Would definitely recommend staying here, the service at reception wasn't fantastic but don't let that put you off :)

Good location, near the metro and Sagrada Familia.

Breakfast is standard Spanish hotel fare.

Rooms are spacious, and the beds are decent. Not a great view if you don't pay for a Junior Suite which is higher than neighbouring buildings and allows a view of the Sagrada Familia.

Bathrooms are a good size, but the shower is dreadful. Constantly cycled between hot and scorching hot, not matter how low I turned the temperature.

Staff is very slow at processing anything. Internet access is annoying as every device requires a separate username and password. It takes the staff about 3 mins to print off each userid, so do expect this to take a while if you have to connect phones, iPads and a laptop.

We paid an exorbitant amount for a last-minute stay. Won't be going back with so many better options around.

We stayed here for a long weekend break with another couple.
The hotel itself is adequate if all you want to do is sleep there. The bathrooms were huge and clean, although ours only had a shower.
OUr bedroom was quite small and dark, but the beds were confi and to say the hotel is on a main road, we didnt hear any traffic.
The hotel is located next to the monumental metro stop, which is a little out of the centre (about 30 mins walk to Las Ramblas).
The Sagrada Familia is visible from the hotel and nice to stroll up to to have breakfast with some lovely views.
I would recommend this hotel if you dont mind the extra bit of walking or jumping in a taxI (around 6 euros from Las Ramblas).
If I return to Barcelona I would look for a hotel more central

Room Tip: As for a corner room - they are a lot bigger (room 101)

We stayed here for two nights on a weekend break to Barcelona, we got a really good deal on hotels.com and the hotel seemed central.

We weren't disappointed when we arrived, the hotel is very modern and had a boutique feel. We were there in February, and the room was clean and very nice.

The location was pretty much beside the Monumental metro stop and therefore getting around Barcelona was easy. The Sagrada Familia is within a short walk.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We walked into the main areas during the day, it probably took about 25 minutes or so.

I'm sure there are more convenient locations to the main tourist areas but you would pay a lot more.

I was happy with the hotel for a short stay and it was good value!

There are a lot of things that make staying at this hotel a real joy but the main one that sticks in my mind is the view of Sagrada Familia from our balcony. We were staying on the 8th floor in a junior suite but paying the extra money was worth it just to wake up each morning, open the curtains and see the amazing expression of Gaudi's brilliance. The hotel is amost next door to the Monumental metro stop and therefore getting around Barcelona is very easy. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We also had room service breakfast one morning, the food was tasty and we certainly had enough to eat

The room itself was ideal for a short stay, was very clean and the air conditioning (or in this case heating, it was February) worked perfectly. The bathroom was well set out and the shower was great.

All in all the hotel added to what was a perfect holiday in a beautiful city.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for the junior suite, the view alone makes it worthwhile.
