Barcelona was the third and final city we visited on our whirlwind trip through Europe. After two inadequate rental experiences, my expectations were not high. So it's no exaggeration to say that we were blown away by this magnificent apartment. Spacious and well-appointed, with an ideal location -- walkable to almost all major attractions -- we could not have hoped for better accommodations.
With two real bedrooms plus a sofabed in the living room and a full-sized dining room table, we had plenty of room for our four-person family. The bathroom included a selection of soaps and shampoos -- standard for a hotel, rare for a rental apartment, and a huge asset for those of us who can't fit all our toiletries into little ziplock bags.
The building faces a busy, busy street. The advantage is that you can walk out the front door and partake of al fresco dining plus an assortment of bars and other local shops. The disadvantage is the constant hum of activity, but with the windows closed and the air conditioner running, we could not hear the street noise.
Management is highly professional, and it was wonderful to be welcomed personally, given a quick overview of the apartment's amenities, and handed quick reference materials including a guide to favorite restaurants, a transit map, and other useful navigation materials.
If this apartment is available during your time in Barcelona, don't hesitate: book it!More
