Firstly, we arrived in the evening and attempted to squeeze into the rickety lift. The lift itself is not on the ground floor (you have to go up a flight of stairs to get to it) and will just about accommodate 2 adults (or 1 American) so be aware that this is NOT a suitable let for disabled people and any walking aids they may need.
We then got to our apartment and I lay on the (old/rickety) bed when it dawned on me, roughly where my pelvic region was were multiple yellow stains graciously left there by the previous occupant - how delightful. I dread to think what bodily fluids these were but it was impossible to ring anyone because these apartments are not serviced out of hours. Needless to say we slept on a bare mattress that night.
The en-suite shower appeared to have time travelled to the present day from 30 yrs ago and had the floor towel lying in it soaking wet. The shower itself when in use might be set at a fixed warm-hot setting but you'll get frequent bursts of stone cold water instead - hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold - as mentioned, like a shower system from the eighties (I think as other people in the block turn water on and off, that alters your temp setting too). The main toilet for the flat smelled really bad (probably an unfixed plumbing issue - remained unfixed during our stay!). There is also no towel rail in any of the bathrooms. The only toiletries provided were soap for the wash basin.
The kitchen was useable but, worryingly, also smelled quite bad.
The apartment itself is VERY basic - based upon hotels I have stayed in this warrants no more than a 2 star status. Dust everywhere indicated it probably hadn't been stayed in or cleaned recently. In fact, the whole place is in desperate need of updating. Also worthy of note was we were a party of eight staying in 4 rooms and there wasn't enough furniture to seat all of us in the living room - doh!
The furniture is well past it's best (see pictures) and dirty, and apparently is made of cardboard rather than cushions so is not in the least comfortable.
1 working TV for everyone (not one per room for all 4) and electricity that completely switches off when lights go off. This may seem like a minor point but what it means is that if you spend the day out taking photos on a camera or phone, you then return to your flat at night and are UNABLE to charge these devices for use the next day UNLESS you leave all the lights fully on. So if you want to sleep in the dark, you won't have any devices ready to go for the next day because the wall supplies are off - very poor imho. They should also least allow wall sockets to be working when the main lights get switched off.
Talking of lights many of them are very dim and some don't even work - but again, difficult to contact the "servicing team" over night if you need them.
At least the WiFi worked most of the time and the staff are helpful when you do finally manage to get hold of them.
Location wise, this is on Las Ramblas but opposite some night clubs. The noise at night (midnight to 4am ish) is horrendous with rowdy drunks wondering around outside shouting. Do not stay here if you want even a moderately quiet nights sleep. Plus there are many pickpockets in this area so be wary when outside.
Overall this is a very basic 2 star accommodation which is extremely overpriced for what is offered. I would not stay here again given the hundreds of cheaper better quality alternatives (that do not include other people's emissions on your sheets) available around Las Ramblas. In fact, renting four rooms for two people each in a 2 star hotel which has working electricity, is clean, has a maid service daily and basic amenities will end up costing about HALF what we paid for this apartment.
Just about gets a 1 out of 5.

Booked this as a short break for my son and myself. Took 3 attempts to find it, as the name on Booking.com didn't correspond with name on frontage. Receptionist was lovely, took us up to apartment, lift sounded dodgy, and subsequently broke down! The apartment itself was good. Nice siize and well equipped. We had room number 5, but the taps in the ensuite to master bedroom were very stiff, the toilet wobbled each time I sat on it. Air conditioning very good. TV... Only two channels in English, one of which was Disney! The location was a slightly more seedy than I had hoped. My room overlooked the Main Street and it was very noisy, you could hear every party goer...of which there were many!

Plus points...near to harbour and metro links. Lovely size, well equipped, very helpful staff
Negatives...plumbing iffy, location, street noise

Tips...do not eat on the main Ramlas street...food only average. Venture off street. Use the reception to book tickets for major attractions in advance, they are so helpful, and it will save you queing time. The underground is very easy to use, buy 10 tickets.

Room tip: Not on Main Street, unless you like noise until 2 ish in the morning

Recently Stayed with my parents n husband in the penthouse apartment no 11. No real fault with the apartment. But we did have a break in. Were robbed of 350 euros. That too whilst we were sleeping in the apartment. Suspect entered through terrace door. Tried to break into other apartments too. There was a full blown police chase as in the movies. Left a bitter taste towards apartments.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apt (no 10) facing the back. The apartment was ideal as we needed accommodation for us 2 and a room for my partner's grown up daughter who stayed with us for a night, so we had separate bathrooms. A very up to date apartment with everything inc Wifi.
The guy on reception was extremely helpful, we'd definitely use this company again

We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit in June, 2014. There were 2 couples sharing. It was clean and the amenities within the unit were exactly what we needed (2 bathrooms, balcony, air conditionining, kitchen, stovetop, microwave, espresso maker, refrigerator). It was close to a couple of small grocers (within 3 blocks) and clearly bars galore. The staff were superb. The only complaint I have is that the walls are paper thin and the wifi never worked. If you are OK with the noise from other folks staying in the building and their loud return at 4am - you'll be golden. And, if you don't need wifi for anything. Good value for price/location.

Room tip: Ask for a room facing the internal square at the back (it's still noisy though so don't be fooled)
