Popped in as recommended. Was quite difficult to find as the entrance on a side street- Google maps thank you !

Was good and parts interesting. However would have been better if there was some information in England or an audio guide to make more of it.

Provides some nice information about the local history, though everything is written in Spanish which is very unusual given that all the other historical sites have been translated into a few other languages.

It was closed when I went in the afternoon but opened again at 1800.

I was surprised that one reviewer recommended spending at least two hours there, that would be far too much time to spend there.

We found the place by hazard, and we stopped by. The video worths the visit as it explains a lot of the history of Ceuta and sourroundings. It is interesting, free of price and definitively enjoyable.

No that easy to find, slightly hidden entrance - if in doubt ask one of the taxistas around (when you see them you most likely missed the entrance). And please bring some grasp of the lingo as all explanation are in Spanish. But this should not deter you as it is a gift, not only as it is free. It gives you an excellent insight into ancient Ceuta and the arounds. Particular intriguing and causing awe is the indoor bridge over the excavations of the basilica tardorromano. Let your eyes circle around - they recreated the place three dimensionally !

Free museum, very well laid out. Gives a terrific overview of the history of Ceuta and the Strait of Gibraltar.

An enjoyable and informative walk around underground crypts and buildings.

discovered in the 80's during street works this site had been excavated and then a museum built on top. you can see the remains of several buildings and even skeletons in their graves, coffins and items found at the site can also be seen.

All information is displayed in Spanish.
