This really was the best meal we had in Madrid. The food is very French inspired and delicious. We had the avocado salad, risotto with shrimp, artichokes with foie gras, dessert and 4 glasses of sangria. All were excellent - and was less than 50 euros. It is small so reservations are a must.

So where do we start night one did not disappoint, just drove us back for more on night two ... so Rabbit and Deer for our mains and a avocado salad to start. and to wash it down 3 glasses of crisp white wine .. followed by a 2 espresso a we shared a cheese cake for dessert... not complaining for a feast at 52 euros. Arian the young waitress needs a gold medal for her service of excellence in every way... from a friendly genuine smile she greeted everyone and explained the menu in both Spanish and English and not to forget the special dishs of the night that weren't on the menu..

Found El Mollete in one of the recommended lists and booked a table for our Madrid visit. A cosy and tiny (even cramped) family restaurant with kind service. The whole menu is basically tapas dishes to share. Several dishes of the day outside list as well. All tapas that we had were very nice and we tried different sea food, meat and veggie - mostly outside the standard menu. We were happy to pay for our dinner for three (including a bottle of nice wine) the 100 eur. Due to the size and popularity a table reservation is a must. Number one reason to visit this place is the delicious tapas prepared to order.

We didn't have reservations for dinner and it was really packed on Friday night (locals mainly). We were told to wait and eventually got the table in rather tide area upstairs. The food was very good- we had rabbit and ox tenderloin, both outstanding. The bill was very low comparing to other places in the area. It is run by family and I would highly recommend it.

Absolutely excellent cooking! I had the most wonderful calamari squid with hummus! The potatoes and eggs, as well as the Gorgonzola croquettes were fantastic. This is a family run restaurant in a quiet neighbourhood. Highly recommended!
