We picked up a leaflet for this show in our hotel reception (she photo) this included a code for a free bottle of wine when booking online, so we booked and paid online using the code. At the end of booking online we were offered a ‘souvenir’ bottle of wine at the end of the show for completing a survey of where we found out about the show. We then received two emails, one confirming our booking which also listed the free bottle of wine (code used) and another email confirming the free souvenir bottle at end of the show. She we assumed a bottle would be provided with the show and then the souvenir bottle at the end. We arrived were given excellent seats at the front and provided with a small welcome glass of wine. 15 minutes before the show was due to start we were asked by a waiter if we would like a drinks order. I queried our bottle of wine with the flyer (which I brought) and was told no that’s at the end? I questioned and queried with evidence of the emails but was dismissed and told “no, no” most annoying and they should have a better system for making customers aware the code can not be used in conjunction with any other offers! Thankfully the flamenco went on to be highly entertaining, dancers very good and having been to previous Madrid flamenco shows this wasn’t stuffy and serious so good for first time visitors or novices. The environment was intimate and I’m sure everyone felt close enough. I would recommend getting there 20-30 minutes before show start time to get a choice of seat though. The venue is easy to find on google maps and convenient not far from Plaza Mayor. Only three stars due to the wine offer issue!
