Am use to and accustomed to the comfort of an box spring and a mattress - no such thing at this accommodation - actually think sleeping on the floor would have been more comfortable - killed my hips and legs - could not wait for the night to be over.

Also, if recall correctly, cleaning staff had left their supplies and equipment outside our door - had to move it out of the way to gain room access, even after we called front desk, they never came and got it. Also close to elevator and heard it open and close all through the night. Not a happy situation for us.

Room Tip: If all the beds the same, no good room there!

Very convenient location - just a short walk from metro stations - Opera (for airport) or Sol (for trains) . Walls are a bit thin and we were facing the pedestrian street which could be noisy. Clean but a bit shabby with not a lot of storage space in the room. We didn't take breakfast but there are plenty of cafes around

Petit Palace Opera is ideally located for navigating central Madrid. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. The service of the staff (Daniela at reception in particular) cannot be praised highly enough. Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting Madrid!

Perfect place for a short break. Staff were exceptional, breakfast buffet to die for, perfect location for exploring. Very slight downside - the room was a bit small, but no problem for a short break. Decor a bit tired, but spotlessly clean. Typical mid-range city hotel, with five star service and breakfast.
