My only experience with Areia is as a bar and not a restaurant.
This is a really fun place to go for drinks or pre-drinks. They tend to play louder music and it can be very busy after about 11pm so not an ideal spot if you want a more chilled atmosphere or to be able to easily have a conversation, but upbeat and a good spot pre-clubbing. The drinks menu is endless, with a combination of classic and new concotions to try, and the prices are pretty reasonable even for Madrid. It can be difficult to get a seat or even find standing space at peak times but apart from this it is a great and budget-friendly place to go.
