We found this lovely restaurant by accident not long after we arrived at the nearby Silken Puerto America hotel. We were four with almost no Spanish between us but the waiting staff made us feel very welcome. The menu was very long so we opted for the fixed menu on Page 1 - it was fabulous and such variety, especially when we were fitted with disposable bids. We had no idea what was about to happen and then discovered calçot. First, the fire-blackened outer layer of the onion is pulled away to reveal a juicy white core. Then the tip is dipped into romesco (nut and red pepper) sauce and the dripping calçot is lowered into the mouth in one go. Quite messy, great fun, super tasty - we ate the lot. Wine was excellent and the price was very affordable. Highly recommended.
