Ate here twice whilst staying in the hotel. The first night was due to arrival time at night and the convenience it offered, but we enjoyed it, so returned the next day. There appears to be a standard menu and set menu which changes from day-to-day, You can eat cheaper, and more authentically, but this was very pleasant.

Was in Madrid for few days for business and leisure. Catalonia Atocha Hotel has been a perfect selection: 15-20 min walk from Atocha tren station but 5 min by metro (Anton Martin) or bus, 5 min from plaza Santa Anna, maybe 10 min walk from plaza Mayor or Lavapies (trendy area for night restau), also 10-15 min walk from the museum... perfect location.
The room was nice, the facilities also, staff very friendly and helpful.
A wonderful place to enjoy Madrid.

We stayed at this hotel and decided to have lunch there one afternoon. It's next to the lobby and has a beer/wine menu plus assorted tapas. We opted for the ham and cheese that was terrific. They use three pieces of bread with the crusts removed and then place the ham and cheese between the three layers. The ac was a pleasant respite from the 105 temp.
