“Honeymoon Heaven”
Reviewed September 5, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We spent a week in the villa and we had a fantastic time. The villa has everything that you would need and want for a lovely, relaxing break away. We barely ventured further than the clubhouse the entire time that we were there as everything was so easy!

The pool area is fantastic with lots of furniture for everyone to laze around in. The pool is clean and well maintained and a welcome break from the sun should it get a bit hot!

The shop and clubhouse provide all of the food that you would need if you choose to stay on the resort. There is regular entertainment in the clubhouse too which is open until late. Takeaway pizzas are also available from the clubhouse and are delicious! If you do choose to eat in the clubhouse after dark though I would recommend eating AWAY from the edge of the outside eating area. This is because once the golfers are gone and the sun is down then the sprinklers come on and if the wind takes the water then you and your food might get wet!

The resort is clean and well maintained too. There is a lovely relaxed feel to the resort with what seems to be a good mix of families and golfers holidaying there.

The gym there is also well maintained and has a good selection of equipment if you're feeling really energetic!

The golf course looks incredible as a non golfer I appreciated our early morning and late evening strolls along the golf cart tracks, the course marshals and players seem fine with you doing this as long as you are respectful to those playing.

The villa was also surprisingly quiet at night which was fantastic. The nightlife is a little more lively down by the clubhouse but the villa is far enough away from there for it not to offer any disturbances. Parking is easy as it is right outside the villa, just make sure you keep an eye out for all of the one way street signs as its easy to end up going the wrong way down a one way street but, as it typically seems to be in Spain, this doesn't seem to matter a great deal even if it does happen!

The surrounding hills provide opportunities to see the occasional bird of prey and para-gliders too!

When we did venture out we made our way to local restaurants; Los Cazaderos del Corvera and Vente Al Puerta. These come highly recommended! Great food and atmosphere at great prices.

We didn't have the three kids with us this time but will definitely be looking to visit again with the whole family, as the villa has more than enough room for us all and provides plenty of in-house entertainment to keep even the fidgiest of young ones occupied! The Wi-Fi is easy to connect to, there are also plenty of books to read and a DVD player if you want to stay inside and relax instead. The colour changing lights are fun to play with when you download the app as well and they (along with the LED trees outside) really add to the atmosphere of the place once the sun goes down.

The resort is a really easy drive from San Javier airport which barely lasts 25 minutes.

There is a lot more to do and explore in the local area than we actually got around to doing with Murcia and Cartagena only a short drive away as well as other interesting places to visit. We want to go back to visit the Castillitos gun emplacements (I think that that is correct) and the beach at Azhio (again, I think that that is correct) which is supposed to be beautiful.

All in all our honeymoon was a brilliantly relaxing experience made even easier by everything that was offered by the villa, the resort and the surrounding areas. A great place to stay.

“El Valle is the pick of the courses on the Nicklaus Trail”
Reviewed July 25, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Really nice and well appointed villa, great to have our own pool which isn't overlooked and you can open the doors to the master bedroom to the pool area if you want. All mod cons available and the owner has gone to the trouble of some really good laminated guides to help you get connected to the wifi, turn on the cable tv etc etc.

On-site shop is much better than I'd expected, clubhouse is well appointed and the best thing of all, the course isn't super-busy. I got out early-ish most days and with a buggy I was done in 2h45m - millionaires golf. This place would be a great base for a golf society.

I was there for the golf and have played a few of the courses in the area, for me El Valle is the pick of the bunch, it's desert golf and from the tiger tees it's a handful; even from the yellows it's no pushover but whatever your standard there's enough variation to keep it interesting (I played the sister course at Mar Menor a few times and was bored...).

The view from the clubhouse across the course and out towards the La Manga strip is stunning especially at sunset with a "spanish measure" G&T in hand (or a beer, glass of wine etc etc).

Will be going back.

“Wonderfully relaxing holiday in a beautiful villa”

We stayed in the eco villa for a week in June/July this year. It was myself, my other half and our young daughter (aged 3). The other half is a keen golfer and this villa was perfect - he could go out in the mornings to play a round of golf, the little one and I would hang out in the villa and then meet for coffee at the club house.

The villa is very well equipped. With a young child really handy to have a washing machine (and washing lines outside the back door) as well as the usual dishwasher, microwave etc. There are plastic plates/bowls/cups etc for the little one so we didn't have to take those and plenty of toys - a bonus when travelling easy jet with limited check in luggage!

Beds are really comfy and the bathrooms luxurious. It's like staying in a hotel quality accommodation but with the added bonus of kitchen and your own pool. Now the pool...this was lovely. Not heated but frankly the sun does that for you - we were all happy chilling out in and out of the pool. The seating areas outside are great - loungers, comfy sofas and dining chairs/table so you have everything you need. We liked that we could sit outside in the morning and evenings...retiring inside to the air con for a siesta early afternoon. The air con in the villa is really effective - you just need it on for an hour or so and it chills down perfectly. Same at night - put it on as we were doing bath time for the little one, then off over night so we didn't freeze.

In terms of trips out, we had a hire car and so went to the beach a couple of times and local towns - Cartagena was beautiful - for tapas and meals out and to see the area a bit. You dont have to - you can cook yourself with the Spar supermarket providing all you need on site - or eat at the clubhouse. The breakfast they serve is also worth a try.

All in all, a lovely family holiday. Guaranteed sun in June/July and your own pool. What more can you ask for? We will definitely be returning.
