Horrible

Upon entry, used the showers and ended up flooding the room and hallway. The plumbing is terrible. The AC did not work so I informed reception who arranged for a engineer to be called. To my surprise, a person knocked on the door and it was the bar worker / cleaner who had now also been given the duty of fixing the AC. All she managed was to do was mop the floor. Our request for a change of rooms was refused and my 8 year old ended up slipping on the laminate.

You better speak spanish if you book this Hotel :)

The hotel is clean and the beds comfy. A special credit should go to housekeeping staff. Air conditioning unit functions well and the shower has good pressure. There is a Cafeteria on site and breakfast was really cheap and of good quality.

Nobody from the staff speaks any english, Not even the front of house staff or the restaurant staff which is not particularly helpful at all if you are a tourist visiting Spain and you don't speak the language.
The WiFi in the room worked on the first day only and it stopped working afterwards. I have tried to explain this to the receptionist and nothing has been done therefore I could only use the wifi in the lobby afterwards.
The Restaurant Menu is only in spanish and there was nobody able to explain to us what the food items were so I had to use google translate for every single one.
Overall good if you don't mind the above :)

Fabulous facilities for handicapped

We stayed at hotel Bag on our way down to Almeria - the room was for handicapped and is the best we have ever used. The bathroom was a wet room rather than a shower and was so much easier to use. The buffet evening meal was a disappointment as the Chinese coach party also staying there had got there first and eat almost everything and it was not replaced. Breakfast was continental but we made sure we got there early in front of the Chinese. The wifi was not very good but we would stay overnight again. .

Great room, iffy location!

My wife and I were on a three day road trip so we decided to stop here at the Hotel Bag, and to be honest we were very impressed!

The only real criticism would be the location of such a quality hotel..... We were given the number of the hotel 154 which turned out to be a car exhaust MOT centre, fortunately this wasn't our hotel and further down the road we found the Hotel Bag just because it stood out against the other industrial buildings.

Don't let the name fool you here, I for one could have been put off by such a daft name for a hotel.... However it was clean and well presented, our room was a suite with floor to ceiling Windows on two sides (although one window had a crack in it covered by a pulled across curtain. We had a hot tub and more room than in a Rick Astley come back concert! If you book here ask for a suite!

The room was a tad warm however due to poor Air conditioning and the fact that we were practically in a Green house didn't help this.

The room service was very good, a very nice way to start your day.

Overall we couldn't find much wrong with the Hotel Bag with its underground parking, just beware that it's one way in and one way out as we discovered coming out of the Car Park..... A Car was coming down the one and only ramp as we were trying to get up and out!

Room tip: Choose the Suite.....

Never Again!

We've stayed at the Hotel Bag several times since it opened and have noticed a gradual fall in standards but after our most recent visit we have decided never to return.
We were given a room on the first floor (Room 115) which is directly above a machine room of some sort. The constant vibration and noise made sleep impossible so at 2.00am I went downstairs to explain and ask for another room. I was told by the nightwatchman that the hotel was full. By 3.00am we'd given up the idea of trying to sleep and we decided we'd be more comfortable trying to rest in our car. After 20 minutes in the car the nightwatchman came out and told us that there was another room available. (Apparently the hotel wasn't full!).
We managed to get a couple of hours sleep in the second room but the air conditioning was not working properly so the room was very warm. In the morning we explained the situation and were told that the air conditioning would be checked.
Our second night was no more comfortable as the room was still too warm (the air conditioner had not been fixed).
On our third night we finally got a room where we could sleep well but it was of little consolation.
Very disappointed with the lackadaisical attitude of staff (particularly the nightwatchman). Will definitely not be back.
