Just arrived back from the ambassador and i love it here , second time now , and a 3rd time next month , staff are brilliant , rooms and views are very nice , all the bars in there are clean and well stocked , the food is stunning and a great choice , all the staff are friendly and polite , the spa is good value for money and loads todo in there , theres also hairdryers in all the bathrooms , you can also use your hotel key card at the western saloon bar and morgans tavern for 25% of drinks , the hotel is very central to everything , also has a heated pool which is covered and another pool which is a good size , you will not be disappointed at this hotel , will not use any other hotel now ive been here and recommend it to everyone

Room Tip: Hairdryer in all rooms , good views whether you stay at back or front

Recently visited with family and friends for birthday celebrations and I have to say the ambassador hotel didn’t let us down. We arrived on Tuesday early afternoon and there was a long queue in front of us with people waiting to get checked in. The reception staff did their best to get the queue down as quick as possible and were very friendly and helpful.

The food in the restaurant was always lovely. Very good selection for all the fussy eaters out there. Breakfasts were great as were the dinners and teas. Antonio in the restaurant was so pleasant and always greeted us with a smile and walked us to our table. Plenty of dessert and cheese selections too.

The western bar next door to the hotel is fab and you can get to it through the hotel which is even better. Brilliant atmosphere in there and the gin and tonics were even better.

We had great weather for it being November so sat in the sun all day and there was no problems getting a sunbed. Pool looked nice although I didn’t venture into it as it would have been freezing. Also indoor pool looked nice and I seen a few people in it.

Room was lovely and airy, large balcony, hairdryer in bathroom is the average output for a hotel so it was expected. Shower was very powerful and hot and bathroom was very good size. Bed was comfy and clean and maid service was also very good. Very friendly maid who I spoke to on first day was lovely.

We were there for the fiesta festival which was absolutely amazing. Loved every single second of it. We have already been pricing same time next year for the fiesta and when we do book we will absolutely be back to this hotel. Couldn’t fault a single thing.

Thank you for a great stay

We stayed in the playa 11 hotel was comfortable, food was good staff friendly. The only advice I would give to anyone going to the playa 11 is take earplugs we were on the 8th floor at the front of the hotel over the western bar. The live music starts around 4 in the afternoon and goes on until 4 or 5 in the morning sometimes later it was the first week of the fiesta whether that makes any difference or not I am not sure but speaking to other regular visitors of the hotel they all bought earplugs with them. We had a very enjoyable holiday and would return to this hotel again with ear plugs.

My first time abroad and this hotel did not disappoint. We booked on a full board basis. The food only disappointed at one mealtime and that was more through choice than anything the hotel/ catering team had done. A good selection to fill your belly with each day, it was buffet style and all the waiting staff were very friendly. The hotel Reception, bar and bedroom were all exceptionally clean. The bedroom had a bath and shower. A comfortable bed and air-con/heating. Positioned on the Gerona Avenue you are 2 streets back from the beach and in the thick of all the bars. As daft as it sounds the only downside for us was that there were no Tea or Coffee making facilities in the room and you only got it in with breakfast the rest of the time you had to pay for it.

Room Tip: If you prefer it a bit quieter ask for a room at the back.
