“Lovely holiday”
Reviewed 4 June 2012

Just returned from the Flamingo Oasis must admit we had a great time . The food was lovely a great choice and perfectly cooked, anyone who cant find something they like must be hard to please !!! Our room was on the 14 floor we overlooked the mountains so peacefull we never heard a sound .Love the location of this hotel the bar over the road the Rock And Roll have a great turn on at 11.50 each evening the Cabeytu Brothers not to be missed ! MumbaMar is within walking distance a good day out for the kids, sea lion and dolphin shows on.Yes the pool gets a little crowded but we prefer the beach so that was not a problem . The drinks are fine maybe not that strong but you can have as many as you want!!!

We have just returned from the Flamingo Oasis and have no complaints. Before we went I rang Thomsons to change our hotel as it was stated there was a bug in there and people were being hospitalised. We caught a bug five years ago in the same hotel and felt so ill and couldn't go through that again. Thomsons refused to give us a different hotel so we had to go and thank goodness we did as there was no sign of the bug and the food was cooked to perfection.

I can't believe people say there's no choice of food we always found something we liked but it does get a bit boring before the end of the week.

There certainly wasn't a rush for the beds round the pool we remarked there weren't many round at 9 o'clock' We've seen this other years but there was plenty of room this year.

There were stags and hens over the weekend and we didn't see any trouble but we didn't sit round the pool. We were in the club rooms which are very quiet and good value for money. You help yourself to branded drinks and the fridge in your room is filled every day with bottled water.

The Thomson reps were very friendly and helpful.

The entertainment staff were brilliant with the kids but we found the nightly entertainment itself is the same as other years I do wish they'd change it.

You must be careful as there are a lot of gysies and pea men in the town. The gypsies sit begging with really small puppies and have no water for them.

We wouldn't hesitate going in the Flamingo Oasis again as I think the food was better this year than previous years.

Arrived back 2nd June 2012 after 2 weeks at the Flamingo Oasis with our two young children. The staff were all very pleasant helpful and friendly at all times. Our room was very spacious and clean with great views over the complex. The food was fantastic, never a bad night. The hotel entertainment was second to none, the team worked extremely hard all day and night. The pool area was clean and great fun although very busy at times. All inclusive drinks were a little watered down, but thats to be expected, club guests on the top floors do get branded drinks. There were a couple of stag and hen parties and a few gypsy families neither of which were an issue. The area outside the hotel is a bit off the beaten path, but this keeps the roudier people away from this hotel i think. Overall a great hotel.

Room Tip: Club rooms if no children, Otherwise above the 3rd floor, to keep noise down from restaurant and bar...

Stayed at this hotel for a 4 day long weekend. Hotel is pleasant enough, reception and bars are well furnished. All inclusive did what it said, I thought the main meals were dull and choice poor quality average, the snacks in the afternoon therefore came in handy. They did do a nice beef roast on Sunday with Yorkshires etc. The choice of all inc drinks was really good with draught San Miguel and Strongbow and good brand spirits. wine was a little harsh. Bedroom wise I thought they were excellent and the maid service was great and didnt arrive until the afternoon. Downside of this hotel is that the management seem to have put loads of silly rules in place and I think this has led to an anti service culture and the staff seem to treat you badly because of this eg all inc wristbands, why bother if you cant get a drink or enter the restaraunt without showing your room card as well, or the silly queue to be seated outside the restaraunt when its full of empty dressed tables or the 2 drinks only at the bar rule even when youre sat at a table of 4 next to it or the getting told to take your feet of the chair when youve not even got your shoes on. hello im 45 not 4 or 5. so in summary I would stay at this hotel again if I was in Benidorm again however I wouldnt go to Benidorm unless I was on a stag party but I do wish they would iron out the rules and the attitudes. Oh and I WAS on a stag party so I cant tell you a thing about the breakfasts!!!

I stayed in the Flamingo Oasis end of may 2012 with my fiance and our 15 month old son. (1 week)

Hotel: Very clean, nice atmosphere, great first impressions, Good location near everything

Location: The hotel is in an ideal location. 10 minute walk from levante beach, and just outside all the hustle. There is plenty of markets and stores nearby. Also right near Mundomar & aqualandia parks.

Rooms: We stayed in room 08 on floor 13 and it was an excellent room. It was recently refurbished and very modern. I was happy with this room. Not all rooms are refurbished

Food: The all inclusive food was a bit like school dinners but i cant really complain as there was always something for me to eat and a good selection. Breakfasts are like full english breakfasts and even have chips out. Lunch was basic but could be better i got bored of it and skipped it most days and just got a burger or hotdog from the pool snack bar. Thair was always a good selection and a carvery of usually beef, pork, turkey or salmon. Dinner has a good selection too, but gets a bit repetitive after a couple of days. Snacks are available from the pool bar and restaurant through the day and are nice. Its also open late at night if you get peckish after a few drinks!

Drinks: The all inclusive drinks were the best ive had! Served in plastic by the pool but glasses in the lounge. So i could get a proper full size pint of San Miguel unlike in previous AI hotels where u get a small plastic cup. Bottled water is always available and also ice lollys for the kids. Cocktails are nice but not very strong, they have a differnt cocktail special daily!

Entertainment: The entertainment is on all the time. By the pool they have teen & adult games such as pool competitions, darts, water polo, rifle shooting, archery, football, basketball & more. They have a kids play club too. Theres a park by the pool for the kids but its just a basic one. Crazy golf too. All part of the all inclusive but not sure about kids club. On an evening they had some good shows such as magic, lady gaga tribute, Hot chocolates singers, and others. But it seems the entertainment team have put most shows together themselves such as mamma mia and grease. So the same people are doing the shows most nights and it gets boring and repetitive, What annoyed me was they would have a singer or dancers on then at 11pm suddenly turn on the lights and have a quiz! Its killed the atmosphere! If you fancy a change of scenery leave the hotel turn left and a little down the road there is 2 bars, Tropical & Rachels Bar.. Their entertainment can be really good. Theres an arcade room, gym, saunas and indoor pool in the hotel, but the pool was closed while i was there.

Staff Service: Most staff were rude and had faces like they were chewing a wasp! fair enough they do long hours and work hard but they could crack a smile and be happy instead of making guests feel arkward when asking for service. Some staff were great though, the cleaners work really hard to clean the hotel. Make sure you use hand sanitizers around the hotel as there has been some stomach bugs going around benidorm.

Thomson desk: I liked the fact that this hotel has its very own Thomson & First choice desk which is open most of the time and staffed by reps. You can get almost any help and advice from here and even book trips and excursions.

I paid £1400 for 2 adults and an infant (Free), for my holiday, i feel i got value for money.

This hotel is a family hotel, if you dont want screaming kids by the pool, kids running around, cheesey entertainment, kiddy food and kids activities... Its not for you!!

If you want a great family holiday where you dont want to travel far for enetertainment fun drink and food i would reccomend!

Hope my review helps! I would go back, but hope to maybe get it a bit cheaper. The price drops a few hundred pounds in january i noticed so il be booing then.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 8 on floor 13. Clean refurbished room great pool view. Very Happy with it

My husband, son and I, along with my parents have just returned from the hotel. Due to previous reviews concerning tummy bug issues, we were a little nervous about staying here. However, the hotel was good overall, located in a good spot with large clean rooms. We found the food to be good wth plenty of choice.

The only negative comment would be that some parents chose to allow their children to run riot with little or no supervision, and the pool area also gets very crowded and could also do with more parasols dotted about as there is little shade. Also, the hotel advertises an indoor pool, however this was out of action during our stay.

Overall it was a lovely break and we would consider staying here again.
