We had a lovely two night stay for our wedding anniversary. All the staff were very friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was excellent, with many people not staying at the hotel in the restaurant. We had a fantastic chill out weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it, will definitely return.

Short two night stay but lovely location, attentive staff and excellent food. Will definitely be back for a longer stay when we get the chance. Hotel is away from the front so transport needed but the service, food and views more than make up. Attractive area with lots to do and good beaches. All looks better maintained than some resorts.

Room Tip: Most have good sea views but some directly above the terrace so may be noisy if busy.

Recently stayed for two nights. The hotel is managed by Truda who is very efficient and friendly. Her staff are treated more like family than staff members and this is reflected in their friendly manner with guests. Marnie is a bundle of energy flying form the pool bar tot he restaurant always smiling and willing to help. Bradley is a young man with a great sense of humor and also willing to help with anything. The food is fantastic and their is a great choice. Recommend the Mojitos freshly made by either Truda or Marnie. Booked again for end July.

Room Tip: Pool view would be nicest

Hidden in the midst of an urbanization in Calpe - my husband and I stayed at this lovely wee hotel for 2 nights. They have started to advertise a 'special offer' which is breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner for €37 per person per night. This is during 'off season' spring and winter. This turned out to be great value. It was also really nice to order our meal and be served at the table. So many hotels are now buffet, which is good in it's own way, but it's a lovely change to have your meals brought to you. The staff were faultless; Marnie (hope I've spelled it correctly, if not - apologies girl) and Bradley are very attentive to all their guests, ever helpful and always ready for a chat and a laugh. All the staff are great. We felt the Gran Sol was a home from home - we were made very welcome by everyone and met some nice people while we were there. It was very informal and intimate compared to some of the larger hotels where you can stay for days and not meet anyone. Dinner was very well presented in their restaurante and all in all we had a great time and would certainly recommend this wee hotel. We would like to return and I believe they are hoping to put their special offer on in October/November - so book it. I don't think you will be disappointed. Our room was nice and airy (large) and overlooked the pool which is really good too. The views are fantastic. They have a lovely wee bar down by the pool and the Frozen Rosie Cocktail is a must if you like rose wine. What else can I say??? The only downside was it's quite hard to find but do like we did - ask the first person you see on the road and you'll get there pronto. Nothing negative to say about the hotel and the people that run it - all was spot on and it's a delightful place. Thank guys for an excellent break x Gavin and Hazel MacDonald, Murcia.

Room Tip: We had room 6 - it overlooks the pool. If you were staying in the height of the season it may be noi...

What a fantastic little hotel and restaurant, cannot praise it enough. So relaxing and tranquil and such a great location with the most fabulous views. Had a great (very large), bedroom, extremely comfortable and clean, lovely bathroom. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, in particular, Bradley, who is the star of the show!!! Will definitely be back.

Room Tip: We had room 8 and it was perfect, with fantastic views.
