Great location right in the beach overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Room was very large, bed was comfy. Room a little odd with another room inside which had a Lounge with a table in the corner and that was it. Felt like it needed to have the tv in this room or something, Bathhroom had a lovely big spa bath, but unfortunately the spa was not working, informed reception and they were going to have someone look at it, but never heard anything. Reception staff were very friendly, we went to the restaurant for coffee and dessert one night and I think they had never had anyone ever do that before we got a very cold reception and felt like we were wasting there time. We asked for our bill and it was like they were making us wait for as long as possible. We had breakfast included in our stay, but would not do that again, I thought the breakfast was not very good. The pastries were not the best.

Room Tip: A suite with a view is the way to go.

Dear Mr. Bronwyn,

Thanks for your time and commentary. We are glad to know you liked your room. We're sorry for the inconvenience with the spa bath, we called the technic service but was not posible to repair as they had to order the piece and that takes days. We can not understand what happened in the restaurant with the staff there, but we have transmited your message to the corresponding departement in order to avoid future similar situations. and keep improving day by day.

We hope to see you again in your next visit to Valencia.

Best regards,
Berta Tapia.

The hotel is in a lovely position right on the beach in Valencia, there was plenty of parking nearby though this was February and I’m not sure it would be the same in summer.
The receptionists were very helpful on arrival and spoke English very well.

We were very disappointed with the room. Although it was clean and well equipped, there was only a tiny window overlooking the inner courtyard which was about 2 square metres. So our view was a concrete wall 2 metres away. This window let in almost no light or air, so you need lights on all the time and you couldn’t tell if it was day or night. The room was also very hot, so much so we needed the air conditioning on, remember this was February and quite cold outside.

While we were there the Wi-fi seemed to be playing up. There seemed to be no logic to it, we had 2 telephones and 2 tablets with us, to start with nothing would connect, I spoke to the receptionist, she suggested using reception Wi-fi. Later on in the evening everything connected, then only 2 things, during our stay sometimes one would connect other times 2 sometimes 3. Very odd, perhaps the system will only handle a certain number of devices.
Breakfast in the Hotel was ok, Spanish style but fine. The only suggestion we would make would be to have pots of tea and coffee, being English we like lots of them for breakfast, here the waitress bring tea and coffee in tiny cups, nice and fresh but very small, how many times can you ask for another cup.

We found travelling to the centre of Valencia the easiest way was by tram, but not the tram that is closest to the hotel. If you go out the front of the hotel cross the park turn right down the road past the huge hotel Las Arenas. Just after that is a roundabout take the 2nd road on the right called Carrer d’Eugenia Vines about 50 metres down is the Tram station Les Arenas. The walk from the hotel is no more than 5 to 6 minutes. Take the Number 4 tram, after about 20 minutes get off at Pont de Fusta. From there it’s a 2 to 3 minute walk over the bridge to the Cathedral and the centre of Valencia.

Room Tip: Don't expect any kind of view unless you get most expensive suite.

Dear langarth,

First of all, thanks for your time and commentary. We are glad to know you enjoyed your stay at El Coso del Mar. We hasve transmitted your opinion to our reception departement, this make us improve day by day. Our hotel is in Las Arenas beach front , so you have a very nice view in our restaurant thanks to the large window. The hotel is
very well connected with the rest of the city with transport public; we have tram, bus and turistic bus stop just in front. We have also transmitted your message to our restaurant departement regarding your suggestion.
As to the room, our Suites and Junior Suites have sea view and our Standard room have street or interior view depending on availability.
We are working to solve the problem with the heat of the room and with the Wifi connection.

We hope to see you in your next visit to Valencia!

Best regards,
El Coso's team.

The hotel was very clean, rooms were cleaned daily to a good standard although the cleaner does move some of your stuff about but that was ok. Reception friendly. Most speak good English. Breakfast was pastries, bread, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, bacon. It was served 8-11. There's a nice walk along the beach and the marina is really nice. Takes about 20 mins by tram and train into town.
ONLY disappointing thing about the room is that there was no window to the outside. I didn't like this as you couldn't see what the day was like and it was hard waking up in the morning.

El Coso is situeded in front of the Malvarrosa's beach and you have a very good combination to the city center and to the museum of Les Arts i les ciències; you can also take the turistic bus in the stop next to our hotel or the tram just in front of it. As for the window, you can book a Suite or a Junior Suite for sea views as our Standard rooms have, depending on availability, street or interior view.

This hotel is small but friendly. The receptionist spoke great English and was very helpful.
There are only a few rooms and we would have extended our stay by one more night from 3 to 4 but they were full.
People had given the hotel breakfast bad reviews but we thought it was great. If things ran out they were only too happy to bring more.
The location is perfect and the view from the restaurant is lovely.
We would definitely good back to this hotel, we thought it was good value for what is probably a three star hotel.
There is plenty of parking outside the hotel please ignore people trying to help you park and expect you to pay them.

We booked a room that had a beach view and the view by far was outstanding, so no complaints on that end. However, we did pay a hefty price for the view so were expecting a room that lived up to that price. The first problem was that the curtain rails had rusted so we could not open the curtains completely, which is such a shame when you have such an amazing view. The second problem was that the stand-in-shower was a small separate room, which was super cool, however whenever we tried to take a shower all the water would flow into the hallway and caused our floors to be soaked. The third problem occurred when we tried to use the jacuzzi bath tub, the moment we started filling up the tub it started leaking from the bottom causing the bathroom floor to be soaked. So we ended up using a lot of towels just to dry up a lot of the leaks. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend but not at the price we paid (almost 200 Euros for a night, breakfast included).
