The hotel feels like a business hotel, but has a lot of tourists. It is some way out of the centre but has the advantage of underground car parking which we needed, you will need a satnav to find the place and it is an easy 10 minute access to the edge of the old centre by underground a five minute walk from the hotel
It is in a well heeled, mainly high rise residential area with few shops, but dozens of restaurants catering mainly for local trade and having no need to tout for tourist business. They range from burger bars to high end dining. We ate in La Piazza, a decent Italian and Casa Vela Spanish, very good, a couple of minutes away, and both full of locals. Our room on the 21st floor was comfortable and had great views but appalling a/c in the bedroom and lounge not helped by the maid turning it off when cleaning the room The lounge part of the suite was uninspiring.
The hotel reception is on the ground floor from where lifts take you up to the hotel on the 14 to 23 floors. There is a pleasant and surprisingly sheltered pool deck on the roof, and a modern breakfast room/restaurant and bar. The breakfasts were bland, but only €8 so worth getting.
Reception staff were very helpful, with good suggestions for itineries, but often only one on duty so had to wait.
The hotel overlooks the unfinished concrete shell of the new Valencia football stadium, a strange sight

Room Tip: All similar, about 10 on each floor but ask about a/c. Get one with no sun in the afternoon/evening for a cooler experience

Where you score here is the location. Just five minutes and a couple of tram stops and you are in the center, another fifteen and you are on the beach. Remember that if you stay city center the chances are there will be no parking facilities. The other way and it's ten minutes to the A7 and the rest of Valencia province is yours on fast, empty motorways. The Spanish seem to be very capable of building huge underground car parks and Eurostars has its own mingled with several others, quite bewildering but a very nice to be able to park and go straight up in the lift. The hotel is actually from level 14 to 23 and there is another hotel beneath. Don't worry, I checked the cladding and its stainless steel. Level 14 has the bar and restaurant where a very pleasant breakfast buffet is served and a separate area for dinner with a lovely open balcony. Level 23 has a gymnasium that everyone avoids with useful changing facilities where you can normally pinch a towel for the pool. The rooftop pool is small but adequate and there are magnificent views across the city and stunning sunsets. About 20 sunbeds and shaded seating area. Bedrooms are stylish, good size, comfy mattresses, but no tea or coffee making facilities. Air cond. good. Bathrooms good size with jacuzzi bath that will blow your bits off. Plenty of nice little bars and restaurants along the main drag, recommend John Beer. Altogether a good value, well situated hotel and every convenience you could wish for. I was a bit peeved that the bike rental was out of action and had been for some time.

The room was on the 21st floor with lovely views out across the city. Despite being near large looking roads it was very quiet which was great. The room decor was lovely and the whole hotel was very clean. The room even featured a jacuzzi style bath which we appreciated after long days cycling and walking in the town. The staff were very friendly and there was a nice amount of options of different types of food and drinks at breakfast. The rooftop pool was really lovely, and the roof is also nice to watch the sunset across the city. Although slightly out from the centre of Valencia, this was not a problem as the metro is extremely close (2 minutes walk) and just 2/3 stops on the metro gets you to the edge of the historic centre (depending on which area you are going to - 2 stops for Plaza de la Virgen & 3/4 stops to get closer to Plaza de Ayunatmiento). Last metro back from town is at 23:30 but if you are coming back to the hotel after a later night out Taxis are quite cheap at only €7/8 euro for 2 people. There is also a lovely sit in or take away bakery across the road from the hotel and very conveniently there is a small supermarket just as you walk out of the closest metro stop (very handy to pick up things on the way back to your room). Overall if you don't mind being a bit outside the city centre and getting the metro and a short walk to the main restaurant and night time areas, this is a great hotel to stay in. I would definitely recommend Eurostars Gran Valencia.

Room Tip: High level room on end of 21st floor corridor - views were great and it was very quiet. Perfect.

The room in 22nd floor is okay and quiet. Don't eat in the restaurant in 14th floor. It was disgusting. The meet was not eatable so i gave it back to kitchen. The only arranged it new and brought it back, but my appetit has gone...

A short walk from the VCC and very close to metro, so a convenient alternative to the main conference hotels up the road. Quality good but nothing really exceptional. Pool on roof is quite small, but the views are excellent.
Metro is a convenient way into the old city for tourist attractions (3 stops and 10 min walk?), but as a tourist staying down town might be better.
Breakfast at €8 is good value.
