Room - we took a junior suite located at a different building from the Villa which was supposed to be amazing if they were just paying more attention to the details...
The room was not so clean, spent first night dealing with lots of aunts went into our suitcase which was on the floor at the room, second night spent over an hour to turn on the grill which was not good at all and ruined our BBQ plan....then we went to the Jacuzi located at the private section but found out temperature of water was too cold so didn't use it (if they were just paying attention to it...). Room is too dark, also no enough lightning at the private area outside.

breakfast - average

Beautiful view.

Private beach very good.

Location- 8minutes drive from amalfi, walk is 50min, bus arrives once in an hour and sometimes over crowded so doesn't stop. Taxi to get to Amalfi is minimum 20euros (yes, for just 8min drive....) If you use a car you must pay 25euros parking per day for the hotel .

Price - extremely high comparing to what we got. And we paid a lot. Doesn't worth the price , worth maybe half of what we paid.

Stuff - ok +.

Summary - dissapointed ,could be much better .

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear complaining about the Jacuzzi temperature because when you arrived it was explained that on the control panel of the hottub there is the button to raise the temperature up to 40° degrees, but if you were having problem, you could have contacted us, also regarding the ants when you explained to us what happened we immediately sent our maintenance guy who solved the problem and we even explained to you that since our villa is located in the garden, even a small crumble of food (there were many crumbles since you ate there) can cause for the ants to come.
Since you told us about the ants, why haven't you called us about the bbq or the Jacuzzi'?
Finally, the pictures that you find on our website describe the decor of the room faithfully.
Our cleaners Raffaella and Lucia everyday spent a lot of time cleaning the rooms and the other guests who left us a review fortunately never complained about the cleanliness.
We believe that we can improve our service everyday and we try to do this but the parking (not of the hotel because on the mail that you got when you booked it was explained that we don't have a parking place) and public transports are not something that can be appointed to us since it is a problem of the area.
Thank you again for your time,

Regards,

Luisa Criscuolo

We were upgraded to the junior suite, which has it's own dining area and outdoor jacuzzi. The view from jacuzzi is amazing. It is surrounded by lemon trees, plantains and fig trees. You can also see the ocean from the jacuzzi. The hotel has it's private dock and "beach". It is a rocky beach but very quiet. The staff are helpful. The only thing the hotel could improve on is the kitchen. It doesn't have a kitchen and every time we want to get some food we need to climb 200 steps one way.

Room Tip: room with private jaccuzi

We rented the entire villa for 2 weeks. There were 13 of us in total from a 4yr old to early 70s. While the stairs could have been a complete disaster for some, our group is very active and relatively healthy so we looked at it as an opportunity to burn off all the fabulous gelato we had eaten. The commercial kitchen was wonderful for us to be able to cook in ourselves for family meals! The staff helped us secure a chef for a few nights which was an amazing experience. The rooms are all ensuite so you could have some privacy away from the family. The rooms were comfortable and very well maintained. The dining/family room provided ample space for our group and amazing views all day. The town of Amalfi is a 7-8 min ride. There is no place for parking with the exception of the street which could be a challenge but hey, you are in the Amalfi coast....just go with it. The grounds of this property seem to go on for an eternity. We loved exploring the path down to the swimming platform and further to the beach. We would stay here again in a minute. Lifelong memories were made here!

My husband and I stayed in the Villa for 4 nights (May 2016) Luisa the manageress had only been in charge of the Villa for 2 months at the stage, Luisa is a lovely lady with lots of recommendations whether it’s to visit a new place, buy a gift or eat out in a restaurant. Luisa is a local and is very passionate/knowledgeable about the local area, nothing was too much trouble.

The Villa is set in beautiful surroundings with outstanding views. There are lots of steps but the location is worth the effort to climb them.

We walked into the centre of Amalfi and number of times taxis are expensive but you would need to use them if you are out late at night in Amalfi as the walk home in the dark would be too dangerous. The bus stop is on top of the Villa and we used the bus service to visit Sorrento and Amalfi and then onto Ravello.

We took a boat trip to Capri and we also went to see Amalfi the musical which is set in a church – the musical is worth seeing for something a little different.

We would definitely return to the villa!!

I cant thank Luisa, the manager, enough for her great advice and hospitality during our stay here, she recommended places to eat, places to go, activities etc - she really made our stay here brilliant. The breakfast was good and the views from the rooms/terraces are incredible. It's about a 30 minute walk into the centre of Amalfi (I wouldn't recommend walking after dark thought) or there's a bus stop right at the top of the road. Yes there are very many steps to get down to the hotel, so if you're immobile, it's probably not the best place for you to stay.

Would definitely stay again
