We just came out of our visit of the Salerno Cathedral and Duomo and thought it was a perfect time to break for lunch. We were strolling along and stumbled upon la Botteghelle65 . We noticed it was a Sulmeria / deli and browsed at the various prepared foods, local dishes, charcuterie and cheeses. We decided to give a try, frittata with pasta, cheese & lemon, mixed salad, pizza di Casa, Baccala a la Napolitana (cod) and charcuterie board of local cheeses and cold cuts. Our host Pino took the time to explain the local organic olive oil, the source and various tastes we were about to experience and wow what wonderful meal and plethora of great tastes! Everything was simply divine! Bring more of a beer person I was delighted to try a local craft beer, the Farmhouse ale from Fenix ; absolutely great beer! Pino and his staff were fantastic hosts and we felt we had the best, gourmet lunch in Amalfi. Grazie Pino!
