We brought two of our friends here to eat at lunchtime. One of our friends is a local, (a Montella man).
The antipasti is seemingly mandatory!!
Loads of quality produce from the Cilento, both hot and cold. Prosciutto and cheeses get a special mention, but all is good.
We had a selection of the home made pastas, amazing taste and vibrant colours. The ravioli is especially good.
All washed down with the Cilento house red, with peaches sliced into it.
By this time we were filling up, but there was no stopping us now! We had a piece each of the flat sausage. Exellent.
Then shared home made Orange and chocolate cakes.
Five bottles of various liquori placed on the table for us to sample!
A really REALLY good experience from start to finish.
Bravo Angelo!

My friends and I came across this gem while visiting Salerno and we loved it!! The owner was so friendly and kind. We told him we had been craving pasta and he more than met our needs with a special, custom order dinner! We had bruschetta, a delicious plate of ravioli with a choice of cheeses, and chocolate cake for dessert. We even got to try a free shot of limoncello! The food was incredible and extremely well priced! We really enjoyed chatting with the owner. He speaks great English and helped us out by teaching us some key Italian phrases. This was truly like dining with family and we can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful evening at this local restaurant. The owner/chef was very attentive and wanted us very much to enjoy the experience of eating the foods of his hometown. The antipasti were terrific and by the time I ate my share of the pasta primo dish, I was full (or so I thought) . But My husband ordered a secondo of veal which was also very good and I just had to try it. We had a terrific very light tasty orange cake with creme filling for dessert. The orange flavor was amazing. Our meal ended with a complimentary limoncello. The restaurant is very homey and relaxed, just the kind of experience you want when traveling. Don't miss it!

As regular visitors to Salerno, I found this place on TripAdvisor. We went at lunchtime. The owner/chef told us (is his American English! ) of the ingredients and provonance of the food with obvious pride. We had the antipasti (hot and cold) very interesting, some nice cheeses and meats and roasted vegetables. Very rustic and tasty. We then had lasagne and ravioli. Both made fresh. Lovely ricotta in the ravioli. The lasagne had little meatballs in it ! Some of the nicest food we've had in Italy. The house wine was good as well.
Wish we'd found it earlier. Easy to get to 15 minutes walking from railway station. Or a few minutes from Irno Stazione or local bus.
Highly recommended, and worth a special trip out. Looking forward to visiting again in July.

We stumbled upon this restaurant quite late on a Sunday, while looking for something to eat after a long day.
The menu is freshly prepared everyday and it changes according to what they bought in the market. The price is very reasonable. The amount of food is totally crazy. Really good quality and excellent service with attention to detail.
If you happen to be in the area, please try it out.
