We stayed on vacation in this very beautiful Hotel on the month of September and all i can say is that we had a very special week. The Staff was wonderful and the service was excellent. The location is perfect being in the middle of the historical centre and we easily reached every important point of the place. We surely advice everyone to try this new Hotel and experience also a magical vacation as we had.

My husband, son and I stayed in La Favorita for 4 nights in the summer of 2011.
I can safely say this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Our room was huge with excellent air con. The hotel was clean and the staff excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent - sometimes taken outside in the very pretty garden.
The best part of the hotel was the rooftop pool - a wonderful place to relax, swim and look out at the sea.
I would return here without hesitation.

We visited at a somewhat non-touristy time, and perhaps that was why we were not totally wowed by this hotel. The interiors are fantastic, and the terrace with the lemon trees is a gorgeous place to relax. Our third floor room had a decent view of the side street and the Bay of Naples in the distance. The staff were pretty friendly. The parts that could be improved: the beds were not the most comfortable. The breakfast was rather average, and pastries were not great. Surprising for a place that had otherwise great food in the neighborhood! The best part of the trip was eating in ristorante "Il Buco"....their white truffle pasta was to die for! Also, Pompeii Scavi (ruins of Pompei) is only half hour away by train. The train station is about 7 minutes walk from the hotel. Lots of little stores on the way! A tip: when purchasing Limoncello, don't be fooled by all the touristy shops- just go to the local supermarket on the main street, they have many of the same varieties for much less money! (if you don't care about the fancy bottles shaped like Italy).

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the garden/ terrace. The room facing the side street can be noisy.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel La Favorita in July 2011 for five nights of rest and recuperation as part of a world trip. What a fine choice we made. We had a beautiful, tastefully decorated room with balcony, with views of the Bay of Naples. Each sunny day we spent a few hours on our balcony enjoying the views which were both of the sea, and also of the surrounding hillsides and the town itself. The hotel has the most exquisite gardens of flowers, lemon trees and many other plants which a more knowledgeable horticulturalist would be able to identify. Our delicious breakfast was enjoyed each morning from the restaurant balcony overlooking the gardens. I can't think of a more divine environment in which to enjoy one's breakfast. Location, location location! The staff in this hotel are most obliging and friendly. The rooftop swimming pool allows the resident to cool off and enjoy some rest in a recliner lounge, offering a range of rooftop views. The pool water must have been chilled, as the water was cool, despite the temperatures being around 85F or more each day of our stay. The hotel is very well located for walking to shops, restaurants and in fact, whatever the town has to offer. Each day my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the walk down to the harbourside and beach area. It is a pleasant walk which provides the walker with beautiful vistas and exercise, especially on the slightly steep, but not over challenging walk back. The owner of this hotel is a man called Enzo. We visited his magnificent restaurant, O Parriachino, where we not only enjoyed magnificent food, but also anther setting of beautiful gardens. In our discussions with Enzo, it is clear that he is a man full of passion who wanted to create beautiful settings for both his hotel and restaurant. He has achieved in spades, I can tell you this! When we return to Sorrento we have our hotel choice already made for us. On our recommendation, our son and his bride to be are planning to stay here later this year on their honeymoon. We know they'll be totally enraptured with the hotel and the town of Sorrento.

Sorrento was the last stop on our honeymoon and we chose the Grand Hotel La Favorita as a 'splurge' in comparison to our other hotels and we were not disappointed! Our driver said we made a good choice and he was correct. The hotel itself is beautiful; it was modern but still had Italian charm. Our room was very well appointed and had a balcony overlooking the Sea; we especially enjoyed the blackout curtains so we could sleep! The bathroom was large and had all the amentities we would need with beautiful tile work. The hotel bar/lounge area was large and modern with access to balconies overlooking the street. The Continental breakfast had a nice selection of both American and Italian options. The rooftop bar and pool area was an excepted amenity; the water in the pool was extremely cold though. What we enjoyed the most about the hotel though was its proximity to Sorrento itself. We were able to walk everywhere we needed but were removed enough from other destinations so we did not feel overcrowded. The amentites and location made Grand Hotel La Favorita my favorite hotel out of all of our hotels.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher level facing the Sea.
