This hotel was the last stay on our Italian tour, and it was by far the best. The view from the room was stunning and the room itself was clean and spacious with very comfortable beds. Sorrento was charming and our only disappointment was we didn't stay long enough. We will be back.

As we arrived in Sorrento, our tour guide informed us we would not be back in Rome until Sunday about 8:30 pm. In the itinerary, it stated we would be back to Rome by the afternoon. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and we found ourselves with tickets to the opera and no way back to Rome. I could tell from the look on Jovy's face (tour guide) we were on our own to find our way back to Rome, and we never heard from her again. However, to our rescue came Isabella on reception at the hotel. She was exceptionally helpful. Isabella took us behind the counter, helped us purchase train tickets to Naples, and then to Rome, all the while searching for the best seats and price. She printed our tickets and assured us we would make it in plenty of time. A really great customer service experience.

The food was also superb. I am a foodie and have written a cookbook - I would fly to Sorrento again just to have the cheese crepes again! Kudos to the chef.

It is a 1.5 km walk to town and because there are no sidewalks and the roads have blind curves it can be dangerous, but the shuttle is regular (every 15 minutes) and quite convenient.

The reason for the header is that this Hotel is different from the normal holiday location.
The hotel is out of town and it is isolated due to the roads being narrow. You literally take your life in your hands if you are going to walk into town. To compensate for this the shuttle bus runs on a regular basis and quickly gets you into town.
The rooms are spotless, large and well maintained. We had a room with a sea view so we were facing the sea and Mount Vesuvius. We could enjoy this wonderful view by sitting out on our spacious balcony.
The staff are friendly and helpful but sometimes the fact that my Italian is non existent I could not communicate well with them. Having said that, the staffs English is excellent and we could always get what we want.
As in many reviews, the main issue was the evening meal. I salute the Hotel for serving a three course meal every evening except Thursday and Sunday, but this is not what the customer wants.
Having said this, the food is of a high quality.
For us we chose to swap our evening meal for lunch. This allowed us to get on the shuttle bus and spend the evening in Sorrento finding some excellent restaurants.
Recommended for a chilled relaxing holiday

Yet another gorgeous view from our hotel overlooking the harbor with two cruise ships anchored. We actually stood in awe of the view as soon as we opened the door to our room. Room was impeccably clean with very tasteful decor. Hotel staff was helpful and courteous and the food was very good. Drinks at the patio bar were reasonably priced as we sat and enjoyed the lovely weather and view from the hotel terrace.

Hotel had great views and although was far from the town centre, they do have a shuttle bus running throughout the day to get you there and back.

The room was quite outdated - in major need of a fresh coat of paint and some new bed covers. The beds were comfortable, and the TV's had sky tv. I did attempt to put subtitles on the TV as most channels were in italian but wasn't able to figure it out.

The only thing that was quite annoying during our stay was that our toilet would continuously leak throughout the night so it was annoying to hear it when you were trying to sleep. my parent's television in their room wouldnt work at all so they were a little disappointed about that but wasn't too big of a problem as we were out exploring during the day.

The food at their restaurant was very good. The only thing was the service on our first night wasn't very good. We were seated, handed a menu and then the waiter walked off. We weren't too sure whether it was only one meal to pick from or did we pick an option from each course (it was a 3 course provided as an inclusion on the tour we were on) so we did have to call someone back to our table to clarify which they looked quite annoyed to have to explain it to us. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with so many options to choose from. The dinners were also very good.

Overall it was a pleasant stay during our time in Sorrento.

Spent a wonderful week in a beautiful place. This hotel is very clean and comfortable. Both food and drink good and reasonable. What was a real asset was the complimentary shuttle service into Sorrento, (as hotel is a way out of town and too difficult to walk on fast road), which has a fairly regular service. Impressed that mother in law's room was opposite ours in corridor which she appreciated and was a proper single room - rare these days. My only slight disappointment was the water in the pool and hot tub was quite cold. I would visit again.
