Just stayed here last week. Was a bit unsure at first as it is a 15 minute bus drive from town centre. However the view from the hotel is nothing short of breathtaking. The bus service is very good so whilst you are outside the town it's easy to get in there. Also, it's on the bus route for Positano and Amalfi. Good value.

I had read the reviews and was therefore expecting that the hotel would be out of the way. The Sat Nav does not have number 96 on it so we followed the directions to the end and then just watched the property numbers go by. I also had looked at the pictures on line which showed it was high up the hill. Anyway, our experience was really excellent. The staff were brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful - we stayed an extra day in the end. On arrival we wanted to have some food and relax and they provided us with a great meal and wine on the terrace overlooking Sorrento - pure bliss. Yes, the location makes it a bit more difficult and driving in Sorrento and even Italy in general is a challenge. However, we were provided with an accurate bus timetable and the reception sold tickets and we were easily able to manage. However, if you want to stay out later than the buses run then a taxi will prove expensive at around €25 to the city centre. On the Sunday night when the bus finishes early we went to one of the restaurants (Stuzzichino) recommended by the hotel which has a courtesy car and the outcome was excellent. The views from the Villa are undeniably beautiful. All in all a fantastic experience.

Room tip: We opted for a basic room but would probably go for a self catering with patio if booking again.

Excellent hotel, great breakfast included in cost and evening meals(paid for seperately) in nearby hotels recommended by proprietor-even a free taxi service there and back. And excellent base for exploring Bay of Naples area. Brilliant view from pool built on terrace overlooking bay.
Wonderful view from terrace outside bedroom over bay with Vesuvius in distance. Would definitely recommend although a longish walk to Sorrento but bus sevice adequate. A car is useful and the proprietor takes it to a lock up overnight and brings it back in morning. Very helpful and accommodatig staff.

Room tip: Room with view of Bay of Naples(facing north ? )

This hotel is fantastic and the staf is very friendly. I left the hotel 2 days ago and for sure I'll go back again.
Everythings was great: The view, breakfast, the information book in the room.
I saw the last review and they never been in this hotel, this is the reasons because they wrote a bad review.
I'm disappoint because I think Tripadvisor can't accept the reviews from persons when they never been in an Hotel.

Please read this before even considering booking a room at this hotel.

We booked 4 rooms for 2 families in Sorrento for our vacation this August. We had our confirmation since April.

Imagine our surprise when we show up after driving most of the day from Florence to be told that our reservations were "cancelled." That was bad enough, but the complete indifference of the hotel staff to our plight was astounding. They simply kept repeating that they did not have a record of our reservation on their computer. Our printout with reservation and confirmation was met with shrugs and Italian commentary we could not understand. Topping it off, this was for a Friday through Monday stay during a big holiday weekend. Not many options...

Couple good news points from this story:
1 We ended up finding an INCREDIBLE alternate hotel for roughly the same price, MUCH closer to Sorrento --- the Settimo Cielo. Check it out. Fantastic ocean views and wonderful staff.

2. We avoided staying at a hotel which is literally MILES from the ocean, with an unfriendly, unhelpful, and some might even say, dishonest, hotel staff

3. We got to post our review on tripadvisor so people avoid our harrowing experience.

Do NOT, repeat NOT EVER make a reservation at this hotel. You cannot trust them and cannot rely on their emails, confirmations etc.

Tripadvisor already cancelled this review 3 days ago but they post it again. This persons made the reservation with a fake credit card and we contacted them using Booking.com customer care, we never receive answer from them. We tryed to contact them by phone and directly on their email.
After a lot of days without answer and without a valid credit card to keep the reservation the Booking.com customer care cancelled their reservation.

So this review is a revenge against us and we'll do a legal action against them for sure, because this is the second time when they post this review.
