Great holiday at this hotel. Centrally located, great pool, spotlessly clean, lovely breakfasts and friendly helpful staff.
Standard room was a bit on the small side for a family of four but air conditioning did a great job of keeping us cool
Would recommend

Just minutes from the train station which was great as we travellled Italy via train. Also close to the city core with lots of restaurants and little shops. The breakfast was okay, with mostly a variety of pastries to choose from. The hotel itself is outdated and the rooms are quite small. You have to pay to use the room fridge just to keep bought food and drinks cold.

Dear Mr. Stellato,

Thank you very much for having visited the Comfort Hotel Gardenia and for your feedback shared on TripAdvisor.

We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the location, just a few minutes from the train station and our American buffet breakfast.

As regard the minibar you pay only if you want the fridge to be empty in order to put your things otherwise you pay what you consume.

We hope to welcome you back for another holiday in Sorrento.

Best regards.

This was a nice hotel. Room was a bit small but the place was very nice. The staff was polite and helpful. Pool area was large and comfortable. Conveniently located and walking distance to many things. Never needed a taxi here.

I don't like to leave negative reviews, but we were very disappointed with this hotel. I probably would not have left this review if I felt that our concerns were addressed by the management with sincerity. (The staff was very helpful, but I did not feel that the man (Who I'm assuming was the owner/manager, was very condescending) We were traveling with our teenage sons and needed two rooms. We made our reservations months ago. At check in we found out our rooms were on separate floors. My travel agent said she requested rooms be near each other, the hotel said there wasn't any such request. Luckily, my sons are older so the proximity wasn't that much of an issue. Unfortunately, the rooms were on the street side of the hotel - a very busy, noisy street with trucks and scooters. Considering the photos of the hotel make it seem more "garden" like, I was not anticipating noise pollution. I was told that was all they had available. The AC was also problematic. They told us they could lower the temperature for us, but that didn't help much. Luckily they had a fan - which helped to drown out the noise from the street and cool the room a bit. When my husband asked the next day if we could control the temperature ourselves, the manager said that Americans don't understand that the cold isn't good for the body and that the AC doesn't work as well when it's hot out. He also offered us two units off site with individual air conditioners that would be much colder. (not sure why these weren't offered when we checked in) When we found ants in the room, they apologized in English and then he said in Italian it's because people bring food in the room. (We did not bring food in the room, and I guess they didn't know we understand a bit of Italian)

Room Tip: ask for a room with a pool or sea view

This is a good hotel at the top end of the 3 star range.
The hotel is family run and all the staff are friendly, attentive and do all they can to make your stay pleasant.
Our room was fairly spacious with good a view towards Vesuvius. The bathroom was ok but would benefit from updated shower etc.
All of the hotel is very clean.
The pool is shared with the hotel next door, no shortage of sunbeds but, as both hotels are geared to families, don't be surprised at lots of children in and around the pool.
All in all, a good 3 star and an enjoyable stay.
