We spent a week at the Zi Teresa and found it ideal for exploring Sorrento and the area around the town.
Our room was a decent size and was very clean. The fridge was an added bonus. From our balcony, we had a lovely view over the Bay of Naples towards Vesuvius. The rooftop terrace provided a wonderful panoramic view too.
Breakfast consisted of a variety of hot and cold food and was a buffet. The friendly staff in the breakfast area kept the food topped-up. Evening meals could be ordered in the hotel but we chose to eat locally as there is no shortage of restaurants close-by.
There is a very convenient supermarket a few minutes walk down the road and the old town is also easily accessible by foot. Although the hotel is on a main road, we were not worried by any traffic noise in the hotel.
Just a few minutes away can be found the bus and train station. For us, this was very convenient as it meant that we could use public transport to visit Herculaneum / Vesuvius, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast rather than relying on more regimented private tours.
We would not hesitate about returning to Sorrento and this hotel in particular.

Clean hotel, friendly staff on bar on top floor. Pool staff too strict. You cannot use the fridge in the room only for the room bar. Location good. Good restrants across road and round the corner. Hotel food not to our liking. Some pool but we knew.

Typical Italian hotel. Lovely rooms. Excellent friendly service from all. Rooftop terrace with amazing views, lovely seating and cocktails from 6pm. Small pool on ground floor too. Ideal location for walking around Sorrento. We were bed and breakfast and thus was fresh and plentiful. Big comfy beds, fridges and air con in rooms. Balcony room well worth paying for.

Room Tip: 507 large balcony overlooking side and Naples bay.

Our second visit to Zi Teresa which is a lovely authentic Italian hotel with decor to match. Good sized room with TV showing the news channel and a mini bar which we used to store our own drinks. Very comfortable beds with maid service with fresh towels daily and linen changed twice on a 10 day break. Fantastic roof terrace with sofas, tables and chairs and small and very large umbrellas. There was a bar service from 6pm but we were never really sure how it worked and assumed it would be expensive so only had a drink up there in 1 occasion. However when we paid our bill on leaving, their drink were actually cheaper than a lot of other places we had been to. I think this service/prices needs to be explained on arrival because we certainly would have stayed in more evenings if we had realised how reasonable drinks were. As this was out 3rd visit to Sorrento and we wanted rest and relaxation, we literally laid up on the roof terrace most of the day and wandered into town in the evening for dinner. However it is a great base to use the train to visit Pompeii and Naples and the port to go to Capri, Amalfi and Positano. This was our 3rd visit to Sorrento and The Piazza Tasso still held its magic every evening we went there. So much to see and so many restaurant to visit.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and spacious rooms. I did not use the pool as it is rather small but people liked to sunbathe there. Breakfast seemed to suit most tastes and ranged from bacon and scrambled eggs to cake. I heard an Italian guest comment with a shrug of her shoulders'its the English'. Lovely view of the Bay. I think the shower could be improved if I am honest but overall I really liked this hotel.
